BBC news story about 19 buses destroyed in fire on the site Saturday night I Googled this '19 buses destroyed in fire' and found lots of interesting photos but not much of a story, as no one seemed to have much idea about what was going on. Clearly not fake news or they'd have had lots to say.

Plenty on the secondary market now! I'm not sure how this fire alters the big picture though. if at all.

I don't think it does. Probably just a bit of herd mentality. I reckon you're right. Some of them are clearly thinking twice now, as a sales queue is dropping rapidly from loan parts getting taken off sale.

I just cancelled £28k in PBL168, so that'd explain the drop in the queue 10-15mins ago. Definitely guilty of the herd mentality when I woke up.
No doubt all loan parts for sale in DFL019 and PBL168 will be snapped up come interest day.

Bus fire is not going to impact this loan. The site is basically derelict already.
The most reassuring thing about this loan is a genuine low LTV.
The borrower has 4-5 million of his own funds in this one. Yes he may have chequered history but money talks.

The news story in the Argus says there are 4 bus companies and 6 other firms on the site and houses were demolished on the site by the owners a few weeks ago

I doubt connected with the borrower and doubt will have any impact on this white elephant of a site in terms of it's pie in the sky potential, or lack of.

Hi George, do you have expertise in this area? I doubt anybody would blow millions of pounds of their own money on pie in the sky. The articles I've read seem to suggest there are multiple parties wanting in on the action
