I hoped there might be a loan like this waiting in the wings - after the wings had been sold for dismantling. Sounds v interesting.

Ablrate seem to offer the most eclectic (and perhaps risky?) collection of investments of any p2p platform, and this presentation will certainly, or at least hopefully, keep the interest going.

I'm not usually a fan of pubs as a security. Valuations seem so hit and miss and the business seems very susceptible to local and national economics. As of last August, CAMRA were still quoting that pubs closing at a rate of 21 per week, which - even though it's down from 30-odd a week - still strikes me as an depressingly high number. Will have to wait for the details to see the 'where, what, why and when'. (Maybe this one is a gastro-pub complete with built-in Michelin-starred chef! ) No chance. This one is in Wales. Safest business in the whole valley.

Wouldn't touch a second charge on a pub with a barge pole, but will probably have a punt on the interest only offering.

I'm a little surprised that the 14% is funding much faster than the 12%

I will need to sit down, read all the proposals and establish my total exposure. Can anyone shed light on the loand to another p2p lender?

Any other loans linked to this borrower (on this or other platforms) that you know of? 040, 041, 057, 059, 060 and a big loan on another platform secured over the main company and several subsiduaries. As ABL says these are outlined in the docs except 057 (not sure why that one isnt mentioned as seems similar to 040)
