I wiggled a bit too, then realised no cashback. I don't think it's the end of cashback though; this loan is similar to 6036 which also didn't have cashback, and I suspect FC will have a lot of underwriting to do if the new tranches of existing loans didn't have cashback. 6036 did have cashback - 2%.

I stand corrected, but I was fairly convinced there's been a partial-repaying fixed-rate loan without cashback, maybe I dreamt it.

It will be interesting to see how this one goes because the deal, A at 8.5% over 36 months, is so much worse than 7248 just closed A at 9% over 18 months with 2% cashback. It is not interest-only, but not far off that. The main difference is the size of the total funding requirement, with this latest a one-off at £256k. I imagine that FC are hoping to get this straight to term-holders without the help of their unofficial lender-underwriters, and are judging that 8.5% is the rate to do it, even at this large amount. I guess the rate might be 7.5% at A+. It is filling well, over 100K. The last 50k will be harder. It will be interesting to see how many flippers do not notice the lack of cashback, when even FC listed it with 2% in error at first and had to withdraw. I wonder if FC would like to fix the interest rate more generally (as sort-of-done with whole loans) rather than have the continual yo-yo from imbalances of supply and demand.
Later addition: Blink and you will miss 7419. This is a second tranche and small but offered without cashback, while the first tranche was with 2%. So clearly do not count on cashback on all these property loans, and look very carefully before you bid. I am not sure that one major purchaser of £20 and £40 parts in this has noticed, though might be attracted by the 8 months. Personally 7349, looks worth the wait to fill.

7419 sneaked in late yesterday, and nearly filled already. I wonder how many bidders noticed it is not cash back. It's also on a normal 7 day auction. No comment from FC about cashback ending, as they did when 1% on 100K loans ended.

No comment from FC about cashback ending, as they did when 1% on 100K loans ended. 6514 (complete with what now looks like a rather generous 2% cashback offer) was a similar size to 7419 and also only scheduled for a 7 day auction. I guess that the absence of cashback on some loans is in part a test of lender appetite ('how low will they go?') - we should probably not expect FC to telegraph everything with the same vigour as when it really needs to attract incremental funds/encourage a last few larger loans to fill over others more likely to be funded anyway.

Yes 6514 was generous in retrospect but we will forgive FC for that. It filled in 45mins on 20th June and sold at about -0.2%, as I said in an earlier post. Clearly the cashback is being used tactically now and FC will be trying to remove it where they can. Maybe there will be some 1% cashbacks. I think that some of these multi-tranche loans will still require 2%, especially where the earlier tranches are not reselling at a worthwhile profit.

7421 tranche 2 just listed, A, 550k, 9%, 18m. But with no cashback! This is very brave of FC - assuming that it is not an error. I am glad I bought the first tranche with 2% cashback - it is looking better already, and FC have presumably underwritten the rest (perhaps they want it).
Edit: and the cashback has been added after 10 mins or less. Situation normal, in all respects.

Yes, roller-skates. I was looking at 7349. 7421 had no bids when I was posting and so they have not re-listed. Is there no checking system at all at the 'pass' before the dishes are served to the customers? Quality management is a lost art.

Somebody didn't program their bot quite right - 7419, H******te 2nd Tranche that went live sans cashback, has over 600 parts for re-sale with no markup

It would cost about £50 to sell to Autobidders, very slowly. FC are being a bit tricksy with this cashback, and the mis-listings. Care is needed.

Well it's one way to park your money outside a deposit a/c, but there are likely better options, even at FC. 8>.

FC are obviously very confident in their assessment of Autobid capacity, with 7423 offering 7% (6% after fees) for 20m (but with cashback). Meanwhile on AC, a 9M loan (smaller total size) pays 11% annualised + 0.5% cashback...

7378 (Commercial Mortgage, @8.5%, 36 months, risk band A) has been pulled. I was watching its progress (interest only [sic! ], not participating), and until it was zeroed, it was looking like it would fill. Anybody know what 'reason' FC gave?

"Please note that this auction has been cancelled as the borrower no longer requires the funds. Thanks, FC"
