Collateral Rep When loan BB00516 was posted I was under the impression that this was a new borrower as it had what I thought was a new borrower code. However, having now compared my spreadsheet with the My Loans list, I have discovered that a number of previous loans have been changed from borrowers ACC00024 and ACC00026 to borrower ACC00080. This is now my second largest borrower, although still within my individual borrower limit. Please can you explain what happened here and also whether there have been any similar changes with other borrowers.

Thanks for the quick fix. I should have held off updating my spreadsheet until querying it with you.

I am also finding a mismatch of borrower id and loan with what I have in my records. Loan 000497 should be borrower 62 and not borrower 26. Loan 000496 should be borrower 63 and not 62. Not sure yet if any others are affected...it will take a while to trawl through all records. collateral

I have found 6 loans with mismatching borrower ids. More disturbingly, not all loan parts are associated to the correct loans. The good news is that all the totals seem to be correct. The problem seems to be restricted to the "Jewellery Grouped Asset Loans". The following appear to be wrong: (key: LID -loan id, BID -borrower id, MBID -my recorded borrower id) LID BID MBID BB00454 ACC00047 ACC00050 BB00497 ACC00026 ACC00062 BB00496 ACC00062 ACC00063 BB00503 ACC00026 ACC00063 BB00510 ACC00079 ACC00076 BB00516 ACC00026 ACC00080 Regarding the loan parts associated to the wrong loans, these involve BB's 496, 497, 503. 496 has £225 more than it should, 497 is short by £200 and 503 short by £25. As mentioned earlier, the totals add up correctly. The individual loan values also look correct, it is just not all are associated to the correct loan. Regards, hantsowl collateral

Hi,
We're looking into this at the moment. In the mean time any investor with an issue with their account can you email info@collateraluk.com and we'll look into it.
It appears it was a glitch with adding a new borrower which changed some of the other borrower IDs and the technical team are looking at it now.
Many thanks,
Gordon

Hi hantsowl , I've passed this onto the developers to check. Many thanks, Gordon Collateral Rep Please explain why this should be a matter for the developers to check? It may be for them to correct - on the instruction of some other (responsible) person - but please tell me don't entrust the actual assignment of borrower ids to software developers (I speak as one such in a former life - splendid people, but not their job, surely). I'm sure what we lenders really want from you is an explanation of how it happened that loans were offered for investment with misleading borrower ids. What part of the process went wrong? And, more important, what is being doing to ensure that such an error never happens again? NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. A stunt like this has severely undermined my confidence in Collateral, just when it was beginning to build up again : your platform has just taken a giant step backwards in my estimation. EDIT : just noticed another one : BB00515 was orignally offered as borrower 79 (a new borrower!!) - I now find it has been changed to 76 (a previously existing borrower). How many more of these serruptitious retrospective changes are there!!?

Note that I had the original borrower ID for 497 as ACC00063 rather than ACC00062 but I could well have recorded it incorrectly.

Looks like I missed the mismatch with BB00515. I also recorded ACC00079 but it is now showing ACC00076. Unless....things are changing as time goes by and when I checked earlier today there was no mismatch?! This latter possibility seems unlikely, but I did notice something strange when checking earlier. I had either "all loans" or "my loans" open, not sure which at the time. I was using Ctrl-f to search for loans to see how much I held and what the BID was. On 2 occasions it did NOT find the loan. On both occasions I had to refresh the page and then the loan appeared. This suggests changes were maybe being made on a live database 😥
