Some positive news after a period of uncertainty....... although I've run out of fingers to keep crossed regarding this loan finally being paid!!!

Wow ... my parts at 99% that had £41k infront of them yesterday have just been bought. (Just £1700 ish left at 99%).
I switched from 100% with £385k in front to 99% with £35k infront last week as I felt that whilst the probability is this story will have a happy ending in the nearish future, 1% is a small price to pay for some certainty (bearing in mind we have been accruing default interest for quite some time)
And thanks to the ever responsive staff at MT, the money is already in my bank account.

Update on site. I wonder how many times in the p2p world that funds have been received at solicitors too late on a Friday to transfer.

Trading suspended pending that.

Wonder if the money has arrived in time for the midday deadline? Anyone trying to hold a solicitor to a timescale on doing something, particularly when it involves money has clearly never, ever, had any dealings with a solicitor. They seem to have a specific aversion to sending any money prior to 4:55pm
