Just did a test transfer that took about 20 minutes to appear. It popped up just after the half hour so it just "might" be that SS are doing a bank run every half hour??

3rd transfer almost quick as first, 4th almost as slow as the 2nd.
It's an odd system 😎.

I think SS staff are working today with a new loan to float and a repayment to make.
I'd expect their new scheme to be automated but they could still be tinkering with it or indeed doing manual runs in between timed ones.
The right time to test it will be after normal office hours.
I expect to get some of todays loan and in which case I may well pay for it in instalments at 5 minute intervals or some such during the evening. Lets hope my bank does not smell a rat and stop the transfers lol
It would be so nice if SS said "we have a new automated bank credit scheme which aims to run every hours on the half hour apart from when we are in the office when it could either be scheduled or run manually" or some such helpful statement to reduce speculation.

LW
Edit: confirmation email timed at 15.05
----------------
Next test payment sent 15.08 and waiting!
Payment credited 15.31
Confirmation email 15.35

I think they're processing payments on the hour and half past the hour...

Half hour processing sounds about right, I made a deposit just after midnight last night and much to my surprise it showed up about 12.35am, so it appears to be fully automated. Three deposits to other family members' accounts this morning went in at 9.40am and the email confirmations came at 10.05. 10.07 & 10.08. I'm very happy with that improvement.

I wonder if the Sat processing was a result of today's go live ( ) as they said Mon-Fri. Now that we have something to do this Sun apart from see the grandkids and push 'sprouts to the side of the plate, there's only one way to see 😎 .

Anyone tried a Sun deposit if they're working today? (Not sure if it's a service they have to request/pay for from their bank). Possibly a silly question with so many sweets in the shop - anyone taking any pennies out today too .

Seems a bit strange to have an automated system and yet turn it off if they are not in the office. Maybe still Beta testing? Ive just sent a fiver just before the half our to see what happens.
I'm assuming someone will be in the office for the float of DFL019 and the repayment too that is expected.
LW
That deposit has just been credited (and a loan part of mine sold WooHoo!)
SO there could be a switch on whilst in the office policy?

If it was up to me, I'd still want a human in the loop for a while as a sanity check until the system is 'fully tested' (whatever that means)
