Hi guys, As you may have guessed from the title – and some of you have already seen – we have some exciting news! The Octopus Choice ISA is now live and ready for investment.
You’ll also notice that we’ve completely redesigned the dashboard, hopefully making things simpler and clearer than ever.
First things first, we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone on this forum for their comments and feedback. It has been invaluable in helping us design our new dashboard and IFISA.
So how can I get started?
To open an Octopus Choice ISA, you’ll need to log in and switch to our new dashboard. To do so, you should see a bar at the top of your old dashboard screen telling you about our new and improved dashboard: click 'try it'.
On your new dashboard, you'll see a button on the left hand side saying 'Open ISA account'. You'll also see a space in the bottom right where your ISA account would appear, with the same button.
You can fund your new ISA account by debit card or bank transfer, or even by transferring money from your existing non-ISA account into your new ISA one. Do be aware, though, we are currently unable to accept transfers of existing ISAs into your Octopus Choice ISA, but this is something we’re hoping to facilitate in future.
We will of course be happy to answer any questions you might have on this forum. However, you’ll also find plenty of information in our FAQ ([Frequently Asked Questions – Octopus Choice](https://octopuschoice.com/faq)).
More importantly, though, we would still love your feedback. We’ve by no means finished trying to improve Octopus Choice. So, no matter how small, do let us know if you had any comments (especially if they’re nice).
Thanks! We hope you enjoy it.

octopusjoe like others have already mentioned, I would also be keen to invest with Octopus Choice if and when IFISA transfers are possible as I have previous years cash ISA's earning a pittance but am using the current year's allowance for a higher interest platform. Do you have a rough idea of timescale for adding this feature? I'm definitely not the only interested party!

Agree with everything jester says above. I would have been happy to move a cash isa across to you immediately had transfers been available, but I will be reserving this year's IFISA allocation for a platform offering a higher interest rate. Ironically, I felt your ISA would still have been ideal for my mother (providing you still offer interest payments into the bank account as you do with the normal a/c's?) but as she would be a new customer of yours, she can't open one yet... Heres hoping you allow transfers in sooner rather than later (and when you do, if you're worried about being snowed under, perhaps again you could offer transfers-in to current customers only, initially...)?

Re the new dashboard and an earlier thread about seeing more info about my loan book ... I see that you have added "Postcode" to the list, which is good as it removes one step from the process of understanding the duration of my portfolio. Still missing the "loan end date" column, though!
And I'm not sure whether you meant this - my guess is not - but the interest rate column now shows borrower rate, not lender rate, which is more than a little annoying as you're just rubbing my nose in your fat margins!

not sure but can you see the end dates with other black box platforms such as LB or LW?

with regards feedback on the new dashboard could we have a better placed logout button as on my dashboard the word logout seems to be obscured/overlaid by my logged in name & T & Cs & help headers and also the writing is very faint so it just becomes a big blur as its 4 lines in the space for 2

thanks for info it made me check again and while it's never effected any other site or even the old OC dashboard it seems to be where i have a slight zoom setting on the browser & have for over 3 years as all other sites have adjusted with no problems,it looks like its messing this one display up.But to be fair i think i would but zoom on anyway as the small writing on purple is hard to read in my opinion. So may be the name & logout could be moved to the top & give more space with bolder writing

Thanks again for all the feedback everyone! Rest assured it has all been taken on board and shared with the whole team.
ISA transfers are something we are looking into, and hopefully it won't be too long before we can accommodate them. As you say, there is clearly the demand!
And thanks for your comments on the layout/design, too. This is something we tested extensively, however we of course know it can always be improved.

Also, littonowl, if your mother is interested in an Octopus Choice ISA, she will now be able to open one by opening a regular account like usual

Can you just confirm the option to have interest paid into your bank is still open for the IFISA. Also, and on a separate note, I've just had notification of my monthly interest rate and it is significantly lower than normal (c.87% less!) yet I appear to still be fully invested. Has there been a glitch in the payments this month?

And yes, it will operate in just the same way as your normal account And you're correct (and macq), we have sadly had an issue this morning with the numbers showing our statements (what's actually in the account should be absolutely fine). We are really sorry about this, but are working extremely hard to sort it out. We will resend the statements when they've been corrected. It may also affect what's being shown on the dashboard. We really do appreciate everyone's understanding on this!

What I meant is that the amounts being displayed in the statement and on the dashboard are incorrect, however the amount of money actually in your account, and your interest due etc, has not been affected. We'll be sending correct statements as soon as possible.
