I prefer to wait a few days and have multiple layers of security than lose a few thousand pounds to someone impersonating me.
Of all the platforms I use, Assetz has the highest level of security which I appreciate.
email and security, sounds like an oxymoron to me.
Who said email and security?

Odd. I have about £7k in the account and I have tried to buy £400/£500/£600.
Cannot fathom it.

Anyone else had this error?
No amount could be traded. Reason: Errors: Error Code: CAPITAL_AMOUNT_EXCEEDED -> This repayment exceeds the remaining capital on the investment
Anyone else had this error and managed to circumvent the error?
Thanks in advance...

I have lost about £120 in interest since Sunday and it is still missing. Capital is still the same jut a drop in accrued.

Today I spent the best part of 15 minutes not being allowed in. I kept knocking on the door, shouting through the letterbox and throwing larger and larger stones at the windows.
Nothing but the occasional *buzz--!* and *beep-!"£".
Meanwhile, my technically far inferior colleague (who I introduced to Ablrate) walked up to the door, licked the window and stumbled into the room whilst I was making smoke signals.
Life sometimes grabs you by the underpants and wedgies you til you cry.
Marcus, you are no longer my friend and Ablrate you are off my Christmas Card list.

Wasn't a fan at first bu the 2FA is something we need rather than something we want.
This coupled with the withdrawal process does slow everything down but I can live with it.

phil I currently live in Gibraltar. Most people think it is a tax-dodging home from home with red telephone booths and monkeys. Those people have never had to deal with the FSC over here. Regulated as much if not more than the UK. Still, the weather is nice.

In the words of Duncan Bannatyne, "I'm out!"
This draws to an end my involvement with them, loved them at the beginning too. Such a shame I am "banned".

I was not in this loan (unless in 30DAA or QAA) so did not vote but i assume the company gave some sort of business projection that gave confidence to lenders. I am therefore assuming it wasn't simply a "give us another six months please, guv, or my kids starve and the wife is on the streets". Erm, yep that sums it up.

One word. Baffled.
I seriously think we should see the voting on this (names removed of course) and whether they sit in MLIA or not.
We have effectively GIVEN them £300k for FREE!
If they cannot pay then why on earth have we not sent in the receivers?!?!?

Like bigfoot12 I can't see the advantage of blockchain here, at least for the first two items mentioned: 1. Fees. Imo technology costs, along with labour costs, might set a minimum for the fees charged by a platform, but the real determinant is what the platform thinks the market will accept. E.g. FC have been charging lenders 1% since FC were small (where they no doubt needed that level), but still charge it now (when you think economies of scale would have allowed it to be reduced). FC almost certainly could reduce fees and still make a profit, but there's no market pressure to do so, so they don't. 2. Secondary markets. Key factor here seems (to me) to be platform design, not technology constraints. With FC in the old days, if you saw (say) a £20 loan on the SM you could buy it instantly. Compare that to AC now, you see a loan with £1000s available, put it a buy order, but it's not fulfilled instantly as AC appear to batch up the requests (why ??). I'm sure it's not down to AC having less capable technology than FC of old, simply that AC have designed their SM in that rather (silly) way. Regardless of whether I'm looking at P2P, banking, shares etc. I concentrate on whether it's regulated, secure, easy to use, fast enough, acceptable fees. I don't care what technology is used to achieve it, only what it delivers. 1. Transaction fees, speed of funds, vetting of lenders, kyc there are a lot of overheads. 2. Swapping tokens between parties will be quicker and smarter. 3. Smart contracts are a big factor. Over time investors and borrowers will benefit hugely from cost benefits both in terms of improved returns and time. Imagine a cross platform exchange allowing you to trade tokens across AC/ FC/ ABL etc. who are all regulated and working to a set of guidelines. This creates a great barrier to entry for these guys AND it provides some security for us in knowing they are regulated.

Lower transaction fees, secondary market improvements (buy/sell orders), cross border lending via smart contracts etc.
There are at least two P2P crypto ICOs which I have looked at in the last two months which offer significant savings.
