All the changes implemented by bondora were focused on attracting institutional capital, with complete disregard for individual investor. I don't think they will go back. But what saddens me the most is not that ridiculous portfolio manager, but the fact that the only alternative to it it's going to be through their API very soon. I am looking for alternatives to bondora. What do you guys suggest? it must be open to european investors I am interested too.

Your main dashboard page at Bondora has a Net Profit figure shown in the largest lettering. You can increase this very easily. All you need to do is head over to the secondary market and buy some loans which have already defaulted at a discount. There is no need to wait to see if there is any recovery before you see an increase in your Net Profit. This is not a recommendation! For the origins of this post, see my post from yesterday in: link at www.bondora.ee/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=7580

I think it important to keep these discussions off the official Bondora forums.
If a legal dispute should start, Bondora could easily purge these discussions from their site.

I really don't think that a prominent position on the forum is justified for Bondora. The activity both here and on their own forum has dwindled a lot over the past two years as they have continued to make frequent changes in their attempts to expand, nearly all against the interest of their investors who they have continued to ignore. The worst thing was to use investor's money to experiment in new countries, making loans with terrible default rates and then to remove country choice from their auto invest system in order to fill loans which sensible investors were avoiding. The most recent change seems to be to hide new loans from the open market for the first 48 hours, so that few loans ever become available for manual investment and then only the largest ones which have failed to fill automatically by passive investment. The current level of support seems to be to cut and paste a standard response vaguely related to the question, which is completely pointless. Furthermore to be making personal loans at interest rates approaching 100% is not something I am at all comfortable with. James I agree with your comments but not with the conclusion. I think we need to abandon the official Bondora forums since I believe they are likely to be closed down. We should try to decide where we move our discussions to. I think this is a good forum for future Bondora discussions. Do you have other candidates?

Hi Jiri
I like your site, but I still have problems with 'completion'.
You say:
How do you calculate "Loan completion"?
We select loans with selected % of principal repaid + all defaulted loans that match selected filter. We don't include recoveries yet to this metric. ROI calculated when using the "Loan completion" filter is quite pessimistic.
This I do not understand.
Probably 'completion' means all loans which were funded but are not now available. What I mean is 'completion' is: - void (by this I mean loans issued but refunded/cancelled/not taken up by borrower, without any interest payments) - repaid
Q1: does 'completion' include defaults? Q2: is the default % calculated with all loans or only excluding 'completion' loans?
Currently 'completion' is a messy concept.
I would propose a different approach.
Instead of working with all issued loans and having this strange concept of 'completion', why not work with real loans?
For me, a real loan is one that is issued but not void.
So I am questioning your selection:
Loans are saved to our database; We ignore:
not funded loans (wasFunded = 0), cancelled loans (CreditDecision = 0), loans with empty "LoanDate" or "IssuedInterest" attributes, loans where "ContractEndDate" < "FirstPaymentDate",
If you are interested, I can look at the selection criteria that you use and propose my own.
Then the term 'completion' is not needed, and you can just use this column for Repaid loans.

I would like to keep Bondora at the current level in this forum.
Why?
It is not that I am against Mintos having a proper visibility.
It is because Bondora are likely to think of their forum as against their desired public image (well 90% of the posts there are negative), and it is very possible that they will soon close it down.
Bondora users like me will need a easily accessible forum where they can discuss Bondora (and be negative if they want to) without the future threat of being closed down.
I suggest that this forum can be the main forum to post about Bondora.

Bondora's Data Export for the SM is up to date. Can we get a new "Bondora Secondary Market Analysis" please? Hello, I'd really love to.. But if you download ResaleArchive.xlsx you will see that Report EOD is still 27.7.2015. File timestamp is 28.7.2015. Lets everybody email Bondora so they know we care about promised daily updates! Whoops - looks like I may have it wrong. I have successfully downloaded a file ResaleArchive_20150822142803 which is clearly up to date. But it is quite small and may only be a selection from the full ResaleArchive with only my SM operations. Now why should Bondora update the master file for ResaleArchive (must be done or you cannot have a selection) and not make it available?
