My old blunderbuss is a Kingfisher RS50 - Boiler Efficiency Rating only 65.0%. Apparently. I don't care how inefficient it is, it goes forever, Jeremy Clarkson could fire one of his shotguns at it. And it would still keep going. Zero maintenance costs, I can't remember the last time I had it serviced, it just faithfully & reliably keeps chugging along. Wouldn't get a new Condensing if you paid me, the Annual "Maintenance" Charges alone make the whole "Upgrade" a nonsense. IMHO. As usual. If you don't get it serviced, for your own safety at least invest in a little carbon monoxide alarm for the room it's in. I'm a great believer and have one in any room burning gas and even take it on holiday with us if there's a gas appliance in the accommodation. CO sends you off to sleep and you don't wake up again... EDIT: Screwfix / Amazon detector c.£20. Merci Dolt, have 1!

Will always be my favourite all time P2P loan by far ............ You couldn't see the property for massive, fluttering red flags, and people still bought into it.  In fact, people were actually buying into Overdue Loans! Ah, the olden days, when there was a feeding frenzy on biblical scales, and minds were lost in the rush. I think we need to be far more afraid of The Rabid Left, they would definitely criminalise (note the "s" ) dissent. At the drop of a hat. The Right is scary and bad enough, but The Rabid Left?!!!!!

Funding Secure were pronounced bust in October 2019 This is over 3.5 years ago however long does it take to wrap this damn thing up All we are talking about is mainly 6 month loans that had a charge against them I had to repay my capital interest only home mortage last year would it have taken the Bank this time to repossess my house as they threatened; would it hell.... Totally bloody pathetic and just how much is all this nonsense going to cost us? I am feeling very warm & fuzzy, safe & comfortable in the supreme knowledge that the highly competent FCA and very effective Courts are all over this, constantly working extremely hard in ensuring the best possible outcome for Lender Investors in the shortest possible time frame.

It will cost you all of £13 pa and nothing more to keep your company dormant and it's a doddle to do it yourself online, absoultely no need to pay an expensive Accountant.
"Dormant companies can file their confirmation statement online for a fee of £13. A company does not need to tell Companies House if they restart trading."

To my feeble mind that seems a recipe for eventual disaster?

Do we see Yanks (and The Rest of The West) with wheelbarrows of Dollars, like the German Papiermark in the Weimar Republic of the early 20s?
Whilst I am no Econimist, ISTM that The West is on a deadly downward spiral ever since foolishly abandoning The Gold Standard?
Maggie was right, as a very wise housewife she knew that you should never spend more than what you have, just tighten your belt?

Try having two passports. At Renewal, the UK absolutely insists on physically seeing the other one, and they must match exactly, in all details. Now, I understand and appreciate the need for this level of scrutiny, but it definitely adds another level of "Things that could can will go wrong." |
