So who makes the ultimate decision, arbitrarily I presume, whether or not COLL were performing a "Regulated Activity", it can only be the FCA of course?
But all the FCA did/said at the time, AFAIK, is that "COLL is not Authorised", I don't recall anything ever being said about Regulated Activity? Maybe I'm losing my memory as well as my mind.
So, yes, using OzBoy logic, the FCA suddenly deemed that COLL were also carrying out a Regulated Activity (regardless of The Spice Brothers opinion) which gave them the authority to intervene, but they chose to only intervene regarding the appointment of Administrators?
However, the FCA never did and should have shut COLL down immediately for carrying out Unauthorised "Regulated Activity"; the FCA simply said "You are not Authorised" BUT then knowingly let COLL continue to carry on what was Regulated business, but without "Authority", which facilitated certain shenanigans to be carried out by COLL before COLL themselves appointed the original Administrators?
Have I got it right? I'm confusing myself, my head HURTS.
The FCA is monumentally not fit for purpose and clearly does not know their arse from their elbow.
And after presiding over ALL this, Bailey gets a "Promotion" to the BoE?!!!!
PS / EDIT: Bailey has to be one of the biggest female reproductive organs on the planet, this man needs to and must be held to account for the abject misery he created.

Hi duck, I'm a bit confused, probably thick.
"........ had to be removed (Col had no right to appoint without FCA approval)" which, it turns out was a very good thing, but if COLL didn't have FCA Authorisation anyway, why did they suddenly then need FCA approval to appoint Administrators? If COLL weren't "FCA Authorised" what gave the FCA the sudden "Authority" to intervene? Does the FCA just conveniently turn it's "FCA Authorised" tap on & off at a whim, as it suits them? And screw the Investors. What a complete and UTTER mess, ALL caused by the incredibly incompetent, useless and totally uncaring FCA................................................. ONLY in this country does white collar crime pay handsomely, with virtually nil repercussions. In the US and Oz perpetrators are punished with doing serious time, the penalties are robust, but here in the Piss Poor UK they get away with it. ALL the time. Makes me pig sick. Two that spring immediately to mind are Ernest Saunders & Guinness and Tesco overstating their profits by Half a Billion Pounds, and no-one swings!

Thank you stevefindlay. Lenders are WELL overdue some payments by now, BDO's time is up, they've milked it long enough and NO excuses, they MUST pay some monies out. The whole FCA created COLL mess just stinks. |

Disagree with you @wallstreet.
We are all very aware of the additional costs of owning a Classic Car, what we are talking about is an asset that, if bought astutely, should not only appreciate in value but will also simply be a JOY to drive.

If you have a secure lock up garage then a "good" classic car is a no-brainer IMHO, and you get to drive it every sunday (summer only?!) as well!
Just wish I had bought the E-type I was offered 25 years ago.

OK, so I’ve looked into this Referral Codes malarkey, which is all a dark art to me, and asked Ruzbah, CityFALCON’s CEO, about the links I copied. He has replied: “It was the CityFALCON referral code as we have a partnership with Seedrs. This is normal when you share anything from Seedrs, they add the members code.”
So, correct me if I’m wrong, nothing dodgy going on here, all transparent and above board, and I’m certainly not earning anything from anybody or any “Referrals”! If you have ANY questions contact Ruzbeh direct, he's a very open guy.  ceejay |

All very laudable pip, and I completely understand, but you're prepared to let FS Directors, Borrowers and complicit Valuers all off the hook, swan off completely scott free, and enjoy the high life on your money, while laughing at you? Might I suggest one final course of action - everyone badger the Police and/or the FCA relentlessly until they have no choice but to instigate multiple fraud investigations and prosecute those involved. |
