Read that article. Reeks of desperation, full of conspiracy theories. Institutions pushing down the prices so they can buy in low? Really now come on! :-)) :-))

Hmmm, yeah there is no way that a big institution would be so underhanded and drive down the price of the market! There is no such thing as spoofing! It's illegal................................ and unethical!
It's probably some little old South Korean lady sat in her mud hut on the hills outside Seoul or Geoje controlling the Bot on her laptop that is currently moving 300 Bitcoins in and out of the market to make a Buy wall and then a sell wall! Of course it isn't a big hitter controlling those 300 Bitcoins, anyone can afford 300 Bitcoins.
I have been watching this market being manipulated over the last 2 weeks and I can assure you the market will go lower, but get ready for the return ride............................If it happens.

Unfortunately after holding her for a while the value for money declined and she was replaced with a shinny new one This is an analogy and equally applies to Boyfriend or LBGT friends too.

"Lloyds Bank bans Bitcoin purchases on its credit cards" www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-42940728Similar article on the Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/2018/02/04/lloyds-bank-bitcoin-crackdown-credit-card-owners-banned-buying/) where readers seem to be split between i) "you shouldn't tell us how to spend our money" and ii) "it's credit, so it's the bank's money and they'll be the ones suffering if crypto falls massively"

Looks like Bitcoin has just broken through $7000 now, heading south. That’s got to be putting some dents in a lot of paper profits.

Not probably, absolutely. I am so very very happy that I don't have any Bitcoin.
My Altcoins are being affected by the slump, but not all of them and not to the same degree as Bitcoin.
The people who will get caught my this are those who panic and sell. There is a lot of manipulation happening at the moment to lower the price. A massive sell wall with a lower wall controlling the bottom too. Someone is getting ready to make some big money. Playing on the FOMO.
It will go back up, if for no other reason but because those that are manipulating are doing so for a reason. The only reason to force a price low is to wait for the high again and then sell to all the "Bait".
Timing will be critical for those who have invested their life savings into Bitcoin.

Every speculative investment always has people saying the same thing when the action goes against them, rather than accepting their investment is worth a lot less than they thought it was.

You can think what you like about how I view my investments, I really don't care.
Until I cash in my investment it isn't worth a thing, not even what I paid for it. When I cash it in, I will make my claim about what I lost or gained then.
Besides which, I have been watching this market for about 2 weeks and the same number of Bitcoins is being controlled by a Bot, always moving just away from the buy level. If you don't believe that, go and have a look at the depth charts for Bitcoin.

Just bought BTC, ETH and LTC tonight.
Tomorrow, I go shopping on the FTSE and S&P which are both crashing. FTSE looking to open near 7000/6900 and a good opp to see whats getting pasted.
Never fear the dip, always go shopping!

If you did your DD on crypto, you will find out soon enough that it's the future and it's in its baby steps. Yes maybe the current coins and technologies out there will not be around to see its full glory, but trust me when I say that it will go big once dApps are more and more sophisticated. In the meantime during the crash I stay entertained with this little blockchain game: gvwy.io/l5qj9nw. Was released a few days ago and might be a flop, but prices are cheap now and I'm having shitloads of fun with it. If it's successful it'll be worth my investments

A company I know is opening a mining farm over here just across the border from Gibraltar in Spain. You/they buy the kit and they install and run the operaton.
A small investment but I want to look back and say I mined it through success or failure.
