Not available today on 6th June, but I see the holding statement on the website now says Weโre enhancing the RateSetter account tax statements and expect 2017/18 tax statements to be available by June. Weโll be in touch when you can download your tax statement. The holding statement was updated a couple of weeks ago and it's no surprise that they have missed the date again. Really, really poor from RateSetter. Emailed RS 3-days ago referring to their website message and saying - it is now June, when can we expect Tax Statements. No answer. Just tried ringing them, got fed up holding on, left a message saying - could you please respond to the email. Poor customer service all round.

I have a tiny investment with RS and I haven't suffered any loss with them so far. I still haven't received any RS tax statement.
This is the interesting part regarding the tax statement, RS said something about the enhancement, I wonder why it could be damn hard to produce a tax statement with a bit of coding when transaction can be tracked for the past and no investor has suffered losses.

FC produced one easily enough, as did

I just want a total of the interest earned, so I can cross check it with my own calculation before submitting my tax return. It's really not difficult.

I think it may be quite complicated agreeing the content with hmrc and the fca given what went on with the troublesome loans last year.
They may be forced to make the content more complicated than they would have liked because of this.
There may also be complications regarding splitting information due to the way the PF works and the remaining wholesale loans.
Hopefully the statements will be simple, but they may not be.

I'll raise another formal complaint about why they have not replied to my formal complaint.... Pity, because I have been fairly happy with RS till now.
The Ratesetter interest statement (moderately substantial) is the last piece of information I am waiting on to close out tax affairs for last year.

I believe RS state they have 8 weeks to respond to a formal complaint. I've seen that timescale mentioned by other organizations, so it may be an FCA limit.

I just got an immediate acknowledgment for my second complaint, and a promise to respond within three days. Which is fine.
But did not get anything at all from the first complaint. Not impossible that it might have been caught by my recently 'improved' online mail security which has proved to be very good at blocking various 'genuine' mails sent though mass mailers while still letting through several ridiculous blackmail attempts from China!

I was just rung up by a member of RS in response to my email/(unanswered) phone call regarding Tax Statements. He said they should be ready by the end of June. We'll see. Reason given for the delay was compliance with changed FCA and/or HMRC requirements.

Email response from RS:
"The FCA and HMRC have recently been in contact with us, of the back of becoming fully regulated by the FCA and now providing an ISA. Unfortunately, the old tax statements we provided were deemed no longer compliant. These are currently going through a complete overhaul in terms of how we display information and what information needs to be displayed. This is currently with our compliance and legal teams who are liaising with the FCA and HMRC. These should be available again by the end of the month."
