Collateral (COL) in Liquidation
Tax return

If investors/lenders are creditors of Col in administration does that mean that the entire 'lost' investment can offset income tax due for the 2017-2018 tax year? Hmm well if Collateral was not a regulated P2P platform then the HMRC rules on income tax relief do not seem to apply (SAIM 12030 section 2), so maybe it is not valid to offset losses against other P2P gains.

The amount available has jumped back over 4 million...........£4,189,593 Presumably, this reflects those that pre-funded but did not transfer the funds within the required time, so returned to the SM. Probably a fairly wise move?

Same here; not funding anything else on LY until promises get delivered. Interest and any funds from maturing loans will be withdrawn.

Why on earth would anyone want to buy into a second charge loan at 12% when there is nearly £200k of the original first charge available to buy? I can't see how Lendy are going to shift this without significant bonuses.

Appreciate ablrate taking the time to interact with the forum. For me, good transparent comms is a huge "plus" for any platform. It must be frustrating because there are undoubtedly times when you feel that you simply can't win, whatever you say.

MoneyThing will you be updating your tax statement format? Thanks Seconded. It's very important for me to have a clear statement of what defaults have occurred during the tax period. Dear Things, do please expedite.

Showing LTV against a "distressed sale valuation" would seem to make so much more sense. Naturally, I understand why this is not done.

Security offered would be nice for, say, cows, methinks. I might give this one a miss.

Perhaps a DFL repaid, and the server software didn't know how to cope?

Hi MoneyThing mid February is now slipping away - please can we have a status update? Absolutely. "No news" is starting to look too much like "bad news". MT need to restore confidence to get loans filled.
