I am sure there is someone out there who has a single dedicated account, "a Tewkesbury special". It will be unleashed onto the SM in about a years time.
I thought about setting up such accounts whilst we could select but it is all too much hassle. The rewards in that case were more tangible than when you are as of today dealt a random hand.
Another risk to consider is that they might reintroduce a sale fee now that everyone has had a chance "to sell out" for free

I hadn't considered the risk of the sale fee being reintroduced, although I think they made a big fuss somewhere in their literature over now being the first big platform to have no selling fees didn't they? So I'd hope it's not a temporary measure. Edit: No Tewks, but you might wanna watch out for the "Exmouth Extravaganza" in about 11 months time from me.

I've spent the last few days levelling, massaging, tweaking and plucking my remaining loan parts on FC so that they are in a state that I'm prepared to live with for 6 months. Now will wait and see.

OK, I am "currently lending to businesses through the Balanced lending option". 'cept no-one wants a penny of my stinkin' cash! No movement all day. One assumes there's been the usual 8-10 daily new loans set up, and no flippers to snaffle 'em, so ...

One assumes there's been the usual 8-10 daily new loans set up, and no flippers to snaffle 'em, so ... The obvious guess is that no-one wants to sell. I'm not selling anything because I have no clue what will be sold and, in fact, because I put my loan portfolio together by hand and any random sale would be a loss. My hope is that the random autosell doesn't get applied to me.

Levelling, massaging, tweaking and plucking; you need an updated avatar! If I had gender issues that would be the banana for me. As it is I like the fact it includes underwater features. All we need now is a name for the comic character, we're looking for improvements on Banafish (and at this point I wonder what any banana borrowed superpower would be) fish I can do.

How kind.
Anyway,
I suspect that the Big Cheese may indeed have coagulated exactly as predicted. Not only does nothing appear to be able to sell, but the "Lending Settings" page has vanished (for me, anyway).
Thank goodness the software was thoroughly tested before being deployed... Oh, erm...

Looking at the loan book they managed to get three loans through the big cheese today (plus 66 (!) whole loans, but presumably the software (API!?) for that hasn't changed). The total value of them was £304k with an average part size of about £60. Looking at the loan book its clear they basically turned off the primary market for us punters (or the volume of selling soaked up all available cash) for most of last week.
Still apparently I managed to sell a few more loan parts at a premium in the small hours, so someone was up late trying to grab a bargain.
