MLIA ISA eligible from next week Just need a good flow of loans now. This week has been the slowest for a good while. The pipeline looks healthy though.

Sent my ISA transfer form on 19/12 and still no cash arrived at AC. Is this grounds for a complaint? The sending party is Skipton Building Society. I have not heard that they are in trouble. Finally got a letter from Skipton today (dated 23rd) over a month after I sent my transfer form (to Asetz; don't know how long they held on to it). They needed on line confirmation as the account was originally opened on line and they don't have my signature on file to compare against the form. There must be a lot of people in this situation. Edit: Now 31st - 6 weeks after initiating transfer - and still no sign of funds. Edit: Now 11 weeks still waiting. I don't suppose either party will compensate me for the lost interest. Edit: The day after the previous edit they said they had finally received the cheque. I'm sure that is a coincidence. Now just a few more days for it to clear. Can they do it before 3 months is up?

I had an e-mail from AC yesterday which read (in part):
"How do I transfer my ISA to Assetz Capital? To transfer your ISA over to our platform you will need to contact your existing ISA provider. They will ask you to fill out an ISA transfer form to move your account"
Surely that's the wrong way round? I always thought it was the transferee institution that had to instigate the transfer.

You are correct. It is AC that has to initiate the process.

I haven't gone through the process myself, but once you have your ISA setup the "Manage Funds" dropdown has a new option of "TRANSFER ISA" which seems to step through the process. You enter your existing manager details and I assume that AC will initiate the transfer once all is entered.

When the form has been completed you then have to print it off and sign it before posting it to AC. Upon receipt they will then forward it to your current provider. In my case, the Nationwide then sent a cheque back to AC. Overall the entire process took 4 weeks for me.

article www.p2pfinancenews.co.uk/2018/05/02/ifisa-millionaire-in-25-years/"PEER-TO-PEER investors could become Innovative Finance ISA (IFISA) millionaires within 25 years, research claims. Neil Faulkner, managing director of 4thWay, said this was a difficult but “potentially achievable” target, and involved investing in asset-backed and property focused platforms that tend to pay higher rates. “Asset-secured P2P lending sites, such as FundingSecure, MoneyThing and Assetz Capital, typically pay around 12 per cent after fees and before bad debts,” he said." --- Can't say I believe "Assetz Capital, typically pay around 12 per cent after fees and before bad debts”. AC's loan book (live loans) suggests 8% is more typical.
