But doesn't that just show you about yourself? I guess you might mean the 'members' tab, from which you can select a member and see (some) details about them. I think adding new items to the member display (like where they live) would require Admin to do something, if not proboards themselves .. and that still wouldn't help if a member was visiting a particular area other than their home. Not thought through sorry. I can't think of an easy way to achieve it without changing something

I do however hate to see a problem not solved, and between us I think we can. What about some sort of searchable database containing 'site of interest postcodes' that people could input home locations to check from, or planned journey routes. One of the technically minded should know how create the model.

Whether it is searchable is another question of course.

Whether it is searchable is another question of course. I've had a scout around on proboards, nothing jumps out. I've put in a support request. Dear admin, this is just to see if it's doable-ish before asking you if you are keen willing and able I don't want to presume anything

Bit of a lurker here but with an account for a while. Where can I see what my post count is (I know it's nowhere near 50 lol)?

I thought it would be obvious. First, click on Profile on the top menu bar (between Members and Bookmarks) which takes you here: Click on "Edit Profile" as shown which takes you here: Click on the "Personal" tab which takes you here: Type your location into the text box shown.

Reminder that you can block future posts from people who are just posting trivia to increase their post count. Click on their name at the left of their post then click the cogwheel on the right. Then their posts will be hidden.

And another reminder for those that have lost track of how many posts they have made, simply clicking the 'Profile' button in the dark blue menu bar at the top of the forum will reveal all. Seeing that my post count has now topped 3000 (I hadn't noticed TBH) has got me thinking ... if I assume that each of my 3072 posts has taken an average of 15 minutes to compose (sounds about right as I don't tend to post one liners) then thats 768 hours ... or 32 complete twenty four hour days spent composing posts over the last four years. Note to self - must get a life

My train of thought was that I don't mind gathering DD about loans on platforms that I'm not involved with (and therefore have no knowledge of), but are in my locality - but how would I know about them? If loans (across platforms) were grouped by area I might nip along to some of those nearby. maybe add first part of postcode to profiles and enable search? ( Won't affect me much being in France) That's no good. According to a proboards guru The Location field in profiles is optional, so we don't index it for search. For this reason the forum search cannot be used to search for it.

I don't suppose the guru said which fields were searchable?

This is a brilliant idea and I have been mulling some ideas on a standard of DD for loans.
What I don't understand is why there is a limit of 50 posts? That basically excludes new users and long term beneficiaries of this forum who like me are either learning or find other users have got to the info before them and have not engaged in the small talk.
