I know this has already been mentioned, but on the secondary market list, I would really like to see the premium/discount% (or alternatively the actual unit offer price) at the top level. A lot of parts are being offered at premiums which I would reject outright (e.g. £100 units for £110), but I have to click through to the bid stage on each one to find I am not interested (or to find the cheapest).
I'm starting from the assumption that, for fixed rate loans, ablrate have already done the job of pricing the loan for risk, so it is important for me to know up-front what premium the seller is asking. It will become more important, I imagine, as the market grows and there is more competition between offers on the SM.

Yes totally agree on the secondary market . With other sites you have the loans ranked with the cheapest offer at the top ie the least premium . That would be great if you could change that . Otherwise the new loans have been fantastic thank you .

We are also working on a whole new platform for launch in the second quarter of next year, so any suggestions/things you would like to see, do let us know. Regards Ablrate

I do rather think the site isn't very instinctive (and to be blunt I don't think you have anyone in house who is good at pretending to be the customer and making it all nice and obvious). Actually I think that's what needs doing, it kinda feels that the developer is capable of delivering but they need a lot more steering. It doesn't feel like let's do it all over again. Thincats are going through that right now, which imho they just have to do and it's not easy.

Hi Shimself We are continuing to develop the current site also (as it will have applications for other stuff we are doing which is a bit hush hush right now), but we have a vision of making the platform much more intuitive, there will be other types of product (fixed interest for example) and when the ISA situation hits there will have to be tools to manage that... We believe much of the architecture can be utlised in the new build but with what we are looking to do but we believe that in 12 months times platforms will need to be 100 times more sophisticated than they are now (not more complicated, just more sophisticated). Regards Ablrate

ablrate I'm just looking at the SM and I'm a bit puzzled. The first unit for sale is listed at a price of £140, correct? With 4 yrs remaining @12% interest it would earn £48 over the term. With return of capital of £100 that adds up to £148. That's £8 over 4 years or a return of 2/140 = 1.43%. I must be wrong surely???

Hi mike Yes, that user is being a little aggressive about the pricing and I very much doubt it will be sold. Regards Ablrate

Tax Statement
Early warning of a missing piece of functionality required. ablrate need to allow us to produce a tax statement showing the income received each tax year. For some reason this seems to be missed by most P2P sites in first year leading to a lot of irate emails when the tax year ends and a rushed development. So trying to be helpful and bring it to your attention now.

Good point unmadem
And can I kindly ask for the functionality for the user to specify tax year start and end dates so that companies like mine can generate appropriate statements. My year end is end January!
Thanks
