So I was lending happily couple of time today I moved money from Holding to ISA Core but would you believe I went to try and update some more lending and it would seem that I am now locked out of my account - apparently my account is suspended and all the team have gone home @ 5pm on a friday. Thing is though I got Mrs Aju to try her account as well and she's locked out too. I also notice that Zopa has switched from the secure2 server to the auth.zopa.com/oauth/account/login that one has been switched off for a while now since I mentioned to them that it was not working correctly with Tabs etc. At first I thought it was because I am moving money from holding to Core on a regular, daily sometimes hourly basis, trying to keep the lending topped up toe <1999 to make sure of getting £10 loans its taken nearly a month and a half of this and no one has even queried what I am doing so not sure if the system had blocked me because of that. Mrs Aju's activity is very light and almost non existent, a little bit a couple of weeks ago when i asked her to get her csv's for our monthly roundup process. I'm kinda hoping its not me though and its hitting everyone, selfish as I am but more so worried why they have shut me and Mrs Aju out and we have a lot of funds tied up. Lets hope its not a scam of some kind and my account has been stripped before Zopa noticed. My last successful access was about 16:00 today though so who knows.

Hi aju I received email at 4.30 saying they will be doing work on system until sometime next week and to ignore account suspended message. This is totally unacceptable if they are doing planned maintenance then they should have notified us earlier. If not planned the customer service should remain open to answer questions and reassure customers. Sounds very suspicious to drop it on us at such short notice.

I got the email too, it specifically says working on my account, so it may be certain accounts that need some sort of fix. It looks like a real email from Zopa.

(Ooops it seems I swore there sorry)!,
So who is watching email like a hawk, not me i'm too busy lending money to be arsed with email and surely they should have planned this at least 2/3 days in advance.
I'm sorry Andrew but this is not acceptable. My money will not still be lent out as I have automatic lending turned off and am poking money in when I want to.
What sort of notice is sending and email at 16:30, and then all going home at 5pm!, and why is it telling me my account is suspended surely someone could have cobbled together something quickly to tell us what's going on at least for the login if nothing else. How do they know that email is working for gods sake. They have my phone number they have my mobile number. They have a front end they could direct people to their email to see if they are affected I've just been sweating for the last hour or so wondering what is happening.
I guess the TSB team are at it again ....

I find it amusing too that it gives the contact numbers too knowing that there is no one manning the phones! I am not very happy about this one. It must be important too as its sort of signed by the great white chief.

Yep, that was my thoughts, I wonder just how many people will even noticed if they are affected its tempting to knock this one over to Twitter if I even knew how to drive the damned thing ...

So it would be interesting to know if people are locked out or not. The emails we have a personally named us by our first names so its probably not a breach but who knows who could have got our names. (Oops I noticed I had not hidden my name in the email message I posted above) PS I got twitter to accept my tweet so we will see if anyone is still there or better actually monitoring it. I bet moneybox and and BBCnews are though.

No email received and I can and I am logged in.
The system however is unstable and does regularly log me out for no reason.

No email received and I can and I am logged in. The system however is unstable and does regularly log me out for no reason. I found that when they were using the auth.zopa.com server. I reported a number of issues with it across all platforms 2/3 weeks ago and it suddenly stopped being used. When it appeared today I thought it was another issue with that platform. It appears not. One of the things I reported was its inability to hold onto the login credentials and it was falling out quite a bit as a result. I guess they didn't fix that. The other biggy was the fact that the third login part for me is quite long and it was not allowing a repeat attempt or showing any characters that failed. On the PC it was not really an issue as typing is easier than on a tab and a phone. Another thing it failed on regularly was just dropping back to login screen with no warning messages after entering the secret word/s info.

thx @eurasian69 & wapping35 . good to know its ok for some of us. Hopefully its not a scam and our money is safe but with no one there to confirm it it does look like a bit of a dogs dinner. I remember the first time I saw the new login process I thought it was a scam then especially as it was so abysmal.

I can log in and see my accounts. I've always thought that a weekend without phone contact is very unusual for a company holding large amounts of investors' money. I'd be interested to hear the outcome - good luck with sorting it out.

I'd be interested to hear the outcome - good luck with sorting it out. thx newlender , At present the count is 5 affected, 4 not affected I wonder what the weekend will bring. I did a tweet to zopa, primarily to see if anyone was actually there but it seems not. Surely there would be people still manning the barricades even if most of the troops had gone home but it appears so far that might not be the case. I'm not panicking as yet, but I agree with your notion, the amount of money involved in the platform someone would surely be watching for issues or breaches. So affording Zopa the benefit of the doubt etc I am assuming the email and suspension issue is legit and it is not the case of an elaborate scam whereby someone is bleeding myself and others of their funding. Begs the question if Zopa had a breach at 5:01 pm on friday would it be until 8:00 on monday is the earliest they would know. I like yourself am keeping everything crossed as its a long time to wait to find out this is not a wild hoax. Edit just counting affected against unaffected people

I got the e-mail at 4:30pm. As soon as I saw it I tried to log in to move some funds, but too late, account suspended. Very short notice.

I got the e-mail at 4:30pm. As soon as I saw it I tried to log in to move some funds, but too late, account suspended. Very short notice. I would have like enough notice to grab some data (CSV's for both of us). I think I will request an explanation of why I have been locked out for the weekend or more depending when they finish with my data, with little or in fact no actual explanation as to why. As many will have noted by my comments so far I am not very happy (thats putting it mildly) and Mrs Aju is banging on about reporting it to the FSA, although not sure what they would or could do if anything at all. I do agree with newlender that this is not what I exi'd expect of a billion pound operation - well our billions that is. I'll gauge things when they explain why this happened and worse why it was not very well managed.
