If you have a diverse portfolio you should do very well.
Clearly this isn't for everyone, but this product has been running for over 3 years now. Has proven growth and room for further expansion. The model works for the company and it has worked so far for traders. Once it matures that is when there will be winners/losers, just like in any market. For the time being you can make good money by being diversified and riding the natural growth of the platform.
And for those of you thinking there has to be a winner/loser - is that not the same with P2P, how much are the platforms charging in interest from the people that are having to use that means of finance? We are all profiting from the fact people are getting charged very large sums to borrow money. No losers so far on FI, unless you have piled all of your money into a couple of poor choices and not read any of the rules. Plus there are data sites out now so you can apply a statistical approach to this if you like.
Dividends are paid out and people trade in and out of positions. The market works, so it isn't solely reliant on new traders joining to make money.

I did invest, my portfolio stands at £5050 with net deposits of £2070. I have been withdrawing slowly over the last month and will continue to do so until my net deposits are below zero. It is a gambling site so wouldn't expect it to be very popular here.
I don't know anything about football, in fact I dislike it. I came to it via matched betting. I just bought players with high media dividend yield and held them. The 10% deposit bonuses have no turnover requirement so reduce the risk considerably provided you withdraw regularly.
The main reason I am winding it down is our old friend platform risk. They don't publish company accounts so it's not clear what the financial state of the company is. Like traditional bookies, it should be almost impossible to go bust really because they are just taking a commission and not risking their own money but it does happen.

I have had a look at this but am put off by the sheer lack of information. For example there is the "footie" index level of currently approx 98,000 but there is no history available as far as I can see. You can click on individual players and get a historical price chart but I don't really want to have to do that 2000+ times to find out whats been going on overall. Whats the market done over the past year? - is it up 100%? down 80%? How can you tell?

When I first posted this a year ago the Footie was at 22,000 - it is now almost 100,000 - this means 4-5X the money has been invested. It doesn't mean every player has grown by that amount as they have been adding more players because there are 5 leagues they focus on and European competitions. The vast majority of players have increased in price dramatically over the past 12 months and they recently increased dividends. For the next 6 weeks they are paying out on 5 places in the media instead of the usual 3, because of the lack of football and the fact they can afford to do it. The best site if you want to take a statistical look at this is - www.indexgain.co.uk - they track every performance and allow you to search through all kinds of stats, it's a goldmine of information. For those of you that are interested in doing it, good luck and do post how you get on here from time-time.

Having Investment in the thread title winds people up a bit. Are you able to remove it?

Hopefully you took some equity as well as they seem to be on the up having just made the likes of the Wall Street Journal after they announced a tie up with Nasdaq to use their tech?

I was very surprise at how well FI has coped during the pandemic and the cancellation of football matches! Nevertheless I'm continuing my slow wind down. My all time profit is £4K and I have £2K left to withdraw so I can't really lose at this point even if they go bust tomorrow. I have never used instant sell so it can take a while to sell at times but I'm not in a rush.

That by definition is impossible. There always has to be a pool of "greater fools" to take the hit.

Plenty of contributors here identified this as looking very much like a Ponzi scam years ago, on page 1 of this thread ( invester , Mike , IFISAcava , p2pmark ,...) Were the regulators asleep on the job? Shocking.
