I have passed the checks, my wife has not. I can think of no earthly reason why she would fail the ID check and I would not? Same address, same mount of time, both on the electoral register etc. Not happy at all, particularly when I see another very expensive firm has been hired to do this. And why the hell do they need statements with my transactions showing? Now I'm bloody annoyed. I've not passed either. I then checked mine & my husband's experian credit scores & he has a good score, whilst I, on the other hand, have insufficient information for them to verify me as a member of the human race. Basically, I'm on the electoral register & have a current account in our joint names. Meanwhile, all utility bills, credit cards etc are in his name, but all our P2P investments are in my name, as I don't pay tax. Looks like a trip to the bank to get a statement printed & signed by them. Last time I asked my bank to verify a document they refused.

Yes, same bank account. I can think of absolutely no reason why she should have failed. Could be they're actually being sensible and realised they only needed to check one of you, not both? Definitely not being sensible. I and my wife also have a joint bank account, but both require 'verification'. I thought it may be because we have moved in the last year, but reading these posts there does not appear to be a common thread. Jobs for mates fits though.

Everyone seems to be talking about receiving an E-mail to say they have passed/not passed the checks, yet I haven't received any E-mail confirming either way? Am I the only one? No, you're not alone!

I've now concluded they're selecting a certain percentage of investors at random! Sh*****ths that is.

There is no sign of any rationality in this.

I received a reply when i said that I wouldnt be sending them any documents until they could confirm that they have money ready to pay me. Their response is:- "If you are unable to meet the deadline due to awaiting the funds being applied to your account, I will note this on your account." They also repeated the paragraphs about certified copies when i said that my bank statements were provided electronically and that I would be happy to send them an original. Make of that what you will. They probably had to refer to a senior partner and have deducted 600 quid from the shared investor pot to send you the “noted” reply. What does “noted” even mean. It’s no wonder the UK is in the mess it’s in.

Totally agree! I didn’t see Lendy returning my funds saying sorry we can’t accept your “investment” as you have failed our AML checks. Why don’t we get the RICS valuers to do the AML checks? They’ll pass anything through no questions asked.

just received email from lendy support that PO verification is not acceptable.the bloody passport office and the government think that the post masters verification is good enough come on RSM you are making this up as you go along.you could easily allow PO verification and save a lot of messing about for lenders.the DVLA also accept PO verification and probably the FCA should step in here as i think RSM are nnot acting in our best interests.

Luckily, I live in an area where there are a few solicitors on the high street. So, here's the damage:
£10 for certifying 2 documents & £1.90 for 1st class signed for.
PS, I also posted a receipt for certifying the documents as well, just in case. Now I wonder if this causes major inconvenience for those living outside UK.

The FCA should step in to tell the Administrator to treat us more fairly? Wishful thinking. Take a step back and remember how we ended up where we are. They’re all in this together. Investors would be safer if the FCA was shut down.

RSM are clearly making up the requirements as they go along as this latest stalling device is nonsense.
It would only make sense if an investor had changed a bank account during the course of this shambles and was then seeking to have their own investment cash paid to a new bank account.
I have received the "we want more info" e mail. The underlying message is "you have failed the Experian test".
I have sent an e mail to Lendy support aka RSM demanding to know what information they received about me from Experian. They have no justification for withholding the info they have obtained - if indeed they really have checked anything with Experian. My credit record is 100% and I do not take very kindly to this vastly expensive Administrator refusing to return the funds that have been now been recovered from previously defaulting borrowers.
I urge everyone to contact this firm of Administrators to demand to know what information Experian has provided to result in this unwarranted & time wasting exercise of copying, certifying and posting bank statements.
They should at the very least be bearing the postage costs themselves - where is the usual pre paid envelope to ensure the correct postage address ? This is clearly part of a vast money making machine at the continued expense of all former Lendy clients.
Between us all we have lost many £ Millions and yet we are being treated as if we are all potentially dishonest - and thus forced to spend more on pointless certified documents and postage.
PS the answer to a question a few entries back re "what does "noted" mean"? In legal reply speak it means "We have read that and will just ignore it". SXLR

Does anyone know the pricing for Onfido services? onfido.com/kyc/Surely, this can be done much faster and cheaper right than Shoosmiths?
