You all spend far too long on The Internet . Go poach some deer or jump o'er anywhere....... 'tis true. I'm guilty. Nonetheless, most of my morning has been spent doing maintenance on my mountain bike, and some of the afternoon will be spent working on my road bike*: 'cos its too wet to be outside on them instead. *Though I may get diverted to fixing a problem with one of the garage doors, as that can be done from the inside.

Guilty of ruining a good pair of berghaus trousers.... bled the brakes on my mountain bike and needless to say got brake fluid on my trousers. Oh well at least the brakes work!

"Belfast" Go see it Take tissues Seen it Brilliant Didn't need tissues ... just recent bereavement added a dash of extra poignancy. Very good film. Previous film I went to see was "No Time to Die". Why did I bother ? "Belfast" is an example of what great cinemaphotography is really about.

While we're in film-club mode, "After Love". Three BAFTA nominations this week, and all VERY deserved. SUPERB! I've not seen such a beautifully simple and sparse exponent of "hint, don't tell" for years.

"Wordle" - addictive little puzzle, based on the 1970s Mastermind game with the coloured pegs. Discover the hidden word in the fewest possible guesses. It's gone viral and was bought last month by the NY Times for >$1m, but still free to play for now. Recommended if you haven't tried it. One puzzle per day, 5-10 mins solving time, new puzzle refreshes at midnight. Keeps the grey matter active... go on, challenge yourself! www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/If you become as addicted as my family and need a bigger daily fix, a numbers-based spin-off called "Nerdle" has recently appeared.... nerdlegame.com/Both good fun!

Squareword was also good, again took a few guesses before I figured out how to attack it, and should do better next time.
