A suggestion I'm sure I've seen before, but I can't locate it to see whether there was a positive response. In Auto-Invest the ability to deactivate/activate mandates, all/individually, would be most welcome. As I don’t want idle cash in my account I make deposits ‘as required', but I now have AI mandates to ‘mop-up’ repayments as they come in. On two occasions I've hurriedly deposited money, only to see AI eat into my lump sum. It's time-consuming but, in order to ensure AI can’t hijack my cash, I now 'neutralise' all mandate targets, then reset them when safe to do so. It's been suggested and accepted as a proposition. There's a change coming in around the end of this month that should negate the need for this, or at least greatly reduce it, so I'll hang fire on the global kill switch until I have feedback on the wider changes. But certainly I can see the need for a solution along those lines.

Yes you're right this kinda thing does get requested every so often and I would use it but... The solution that chris might be referring to is where we each have several accounts or jam jars to put the money into, one for AI, one for deposits, one for bananas & another for something else etc, etc. I just made that list up. But some of them must be correct... The thing is; with switching off your mandates is that it takes you out of the queue and I imagine put you to the back of it, and that is a hot subject is you read around some of the currents threads here. At the moment I try to lower my mandates but it's not completely clear to me what that does and infact I don't want to find out as the whole thing is about to change and the time for that seems to be the end of the month. Now if the above is completely wrong chris' all seeing eyes will see it & he'll jump in and correct me.

You're right about the multiple accounts, although there's more to it than that, but half wrong about the way the AI queue currently works But as you say it's all changing anyway. I'm actually going to try and launch my proposed changes to the AI queue early next week so we can get some information as to how it performs whilst we're in a bit of a quiet spot anyway, although I'll need some activity to see if it's working as intended!

chris - you might want to ask your front end developer if the front page selection of the "Latest Investment Opportunity" can be made a bit more intelligent - do you really want to be advertising a pear-shaped has-been (which in any case is fully funded with pre-bids / underwriting (Weston) when you have a sparkling newcomer (Manchester) to fund ?

Yeah it has been noticed... We'll get it fixed.

Talking about the front-end perhaps I'm wrong but the total doesn't seem to include London Law III's £100k. Am I wrong?
IN EDIT So minus Weston and Plus London. 29,555,745 -1,673,250 +100,000 If I had a calculator I could work this out...

I would find it useful if the listing of loans in my account included either the number of repayments left, or the date that the loan is repaid. At the moment, unless I am missing something, it seems the only way to determine how many repayments are left is to search through all the completed loans to find the ones I own.

When the Loan Portal thingy kicks off I think (hope) that will answer many problems, but it will take for ever to find out how it works. But for the moment what I do is go to my Loan Units then click on each loan in turn, as needed, to bring up it's page and check what ever the details that I need to. That saves finding it in the Completed Loans section.

That is (almost) word for word what I included in AC's survey today ... in which I am going to win something cool!

chris I think you said recently that it was possible to reduce your position in a proposal without losing your place. I'm thinking of Aberystwyth, I've prebids of £800, £100 and another £100 how do I change that to somewhere between £300 to £500? I noticed that the New Anglesey loan 102 went live late at night, so thanks to the one person and/or whole team (mods please delete the inappropriate) doing the work, it might be an idea that a link to the new loan be put on the old loan chris? I know there's a lender update on the old one but it just looks like it did get paid in time rather then a New/Extension took place. If you're reading this and not officially at work chris go and have a cup of tea and enjoy your weekend... there's no hurry.

chris, please can the available downloads (statement, loans and bids) all be extended to include the auction number. Another help would be for the loans download to include the id number for the loan part (this is included in the relevant statement entries).

Statements don't track the auction number so we wouldn't be able to do that, but the rest can be done.
