It always amazes me that with so many clever people in USA they constantly come up with muppets as presidential candidates. Latest example is Democrat hopeful Robert F Kennedy Jr. The son of assassinated Senator Robert F Kennedy and nephew of President John F Kennedy is an outspoken anti-vaccine campaigner. Instagram removed his account in 2021 for "repeatedly sharing debunked claims".
Where do they get them from.

I admit as an octopus customer I played the system, but less so than some of the generators do week in week out they make millions of pounds a day playing the system I made £118 over 4 months

ilmoro Still, the reality is I gave up on any attempt to 'game' the system. While customers aren't stupid, sometimes the collective known as a household can be. Apparently, amongst the various symptoms and issues associated with being perimenopausal is it can lead to increased confusion as to whether on any given day you should be avoiding putting an appliance on at at given time, or whether you should be aiming to use at that time Resorting to PostIt notes felt a bit like catering for my 90 y/o father, so I gave up. Instead I just celebrated the partial success of the occasional wins of having avoiding an excessive peak time use and thereby do my tiny bit to avoid coal generation. It led to a more peaceful household. I also decided I could get some "good citizen" warm glow trying to avoid peak times generally, hopefully making some microscopic dent in the cost to taxpayers of the Govt. energy subsidy by 'flattening the curve' of peak time electricity usage, and therefore wholesale supply price. In the event I think we earned about £5 max, and that included bonuses from having simply registered for consecutive sessions !!

Apparently two of the twelve were deeply shocked to have been crucified; they'd only asked the local council if someone could put them up for the night

"About a dozen villagers registered but only eight men participated, including 62-year-old sign painter Ruben Enaje, who was nailed to a wooden cross for the 34th time"
Barking. Absolutely stark staring hatstand.

Barking. Absolutely stark staring hatstand. has he had permanent holes made in his hands. I've always wondered how they remove the nails, as my normal method of levering out with a claw hammer would cause crush injuries.

Religion does strange things to people. A distant relative (now departed) apparently took great succour and many brownie points from crawling up some long gnarly steps on her knees until they bled. People still flock to endure/enjoy the pain... May or may not have been this one: m.youtube.com/watch?v=CTYRVEpMkuw

25 years ago the Good Friday agreement was signed, bringing peace to Norther Ireland.
The process prompted one of the great one liners from then Prime Minister Tony Blair, who said 'A day like today is not a day for soundbites, we can leave those at home, but I feel the hand of history upon our shoulder'

Pub in grotty bit of South Essex. ABSOLUTELY insistent that they are allowed gollys on display behind the bar, despite previous strops over keeping them there - 2018: www.thurrockgazette.co.uk/news/15991563.white-hart-pub-grays-determined-not-remove-golliwogs-despite-council-investigation/"literally the history of our country", "part of our heritage", "some people may not like them and they are entitled to that view, but they don't have to come into the pub."
Yeh. Right. Seeing and smelling smoke does not always mean there's a fire, but... A quick google finds photos of them from the 2018 strop... There's a fake driving licence photocard for "Golly" on display, giving place of birth as "SE9 Alabama". For those unfamiliar with the grottier corners of South London, SE9 is the Eltham/Falconwood part of London, best known for the murder of Stephen Lawrence and the former headquarters of the BNP. For his press photocall, the landlord chose a polo shirt with a logo on the breast - a Maltese Cross with crossed swords behind it. 2+2 is definitely starting to look to be in the region of 3.75 to 4.25.

You do have to wonder at people who, despite a known dislike of these things, keep them in a business that provides a service to the public.
"I've been given Nazi bits and pieces and keep them, on display, in my pub" etc etc would be considered WRONG
"I've been given instruments of torture and keep them, on display, in my pub" raised eyebrow
Probably best to find a bin. Still, no such thing as bad publicity.
