Yet Maybe the F1 will bring the feel good factor: You ask, Hamilton delivers (however improbable those words sound currently) Don’t forget it was a British 1-2-3 qualifying at the British GP. It certainly would have been amazing to have a British 1-2-3 finish at the British GP if Russells didn’t have to retire early. The last time achieving a British 1-2-3 “climax” finish in a British GP was Country Climax engine at Aintree 1962.

Nearly all UK players knocked out of singles & dream team no more. Ah, but Emma is still in the fight (just, as I write). Even if we'll miss the spectacle of her playing with Andy Murray.Cav hasn't won another stage. New labour Government and Lewis wins, and all the posh kids beaten at Wimbledon. And yes I accept LH has parents that invested a lot in him
and IMHO most tennis players are rich kids. the average parents couldn't afford the time off work etc to go chasing all over playing low level tournaments
your average working man ( labour voter ) is much more likely to watch motor sport or football than tennis

Cameron & Chicken Run Holden have resigned from shadow cabinet ... Badenoch gets to shadow Rayner, Mitchell is foreign, Hollinrake Business, otherwise Cabinet survivors continue as before and a load of unknowns get to shadow the Labour unknowns. No jobs for any right wing headbangers yet www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crgm3g37klko

what I'm astonished by is that this could even be a question, other than at the real fringes of well conducted fraud. I mean one can hardly manage to secure a library card without providing two lots of identification document, at least one being photo id, proof of address and how long you've lived there, and your inside leg measurement. However apparently you can stand for parliament without verifiably existing: "Under electoral rules, the only details that need to be given about the candidate is their full name and the constituency where they live. They must all have an agent, and be nominated by 10 local voters."Or to put it another way, you can't actually cast your vote without providing suitable proof of identity, but when you do, you can unwittingly vote for someone who nobody has bothered to check is actually a living breathing human being, let alone a British Citizen eligible to stand for Parliament. What could help with this I wonder ? Oh I know, a National Identity card system.

I have used them for reading mags and newspapers online. Back to the election bit, after digging more about the bets from Bristol North, adrianc is probably right most of the Reform UK candidates have no intention to do a real MP jobs, like Ms Atlas the world champion bodybuilder.

I think I posted before our reform candidate was pretty much incognito, I couldn't find anything about him, but he still got 8,000 votes.

I only discovered we had Lab, Gre, Ref & Ind when the ballot paper was longer than 2 that actually campaigned ... not really a surprise as here always likely to go with Nokes or Lib. There was a Lab sign up in the street but that was due to owners son running (& winning elsewhere)
