Will there be a cobra meeting for the spill incident?
According to CDC, it can affect the body through ingestion, inhalation, skin contact, or eye contact.
My question, how far and how fast can these stuffs travel?

My question, how far and how fast can these stuffs travel? If you are referring to this, there's absolutely no need for a Cobra meeting. Sodium cyanide is a commonplace industrial chemical. If the spill had been into a river it would pretty soon be diluted away to the point where it is no longer an issue. A canal might require more of an active clean up but there will be protocols for this. Depending on where it's from (eg a plating works) there may be other toxic chemicals too but they are testing for this. It will be sorted, and hopefully there will be consequences for the polluter.

“Auckland City Mission discovered donated lollies sent out in food parcels contained methamphetamine.” What a sizeable donation from an unknown person. 🤣 Just double checked with the packaging, it seems not matching the original from Rinda rinda.com.my/rinda_product_group/hard-boiled/page/2/

They did the same to Niggle Farridge in the run up to the election. Very bad form of the organisers not to check for it, especially second time... But both bloody funny. And both perfectly accurate. <chortle> Who next?

The former prison to become a museum! I thought we need more secure space for inmates. 😅

Arguably whoever buys one of those needs to be locked up too. I remember a friend doing a great wedding dress conversion for a party so it's not a bad idea per se. Chopped it off above the knee and sprayed the whole thing with gold paint - took 10 mins and looked great. Her mum went nuts when she found it had gone 'missing' though.

Taliban launches Afghanistan as a HOLIDAY DESTINATION. Only 5 star hotel in the country has a pool bar, but no booze (don't think I'll be rushing to visit).
NK is reopen for business mate, no idea when the British embassy reopens and Dr Ellis will be sent back.

It's official.
Figures just released show that in the first half of 2024 growth in the UK economy was higher than any other G7 nation.Wonder where that leaves Labour's claim of a grim economic inheritance.

I saw that on the news last night. The news report also said that per capita GDP for June was still less than the previous year. So no more than a bounce back from a particularly bad dip. Be that as it may the grimness of the inheritance is really about an ongoing mismatch (on realistic forecasts) between tax revenues and govt expenditures - which, given demographic change, will only get worse. This will force either further shrinkage of the state or tax rises to come. Labour's hope that we might grow ourselves out of this mess is frankly pie in the sky unless the govt does things Keir's said it won't do, like (1) a free trade deal with Europe, and (2) a much more relaxed position on immigration (the only way to mitigate the effects of demographic charge).

Depends on the t&cs ... 'you' can be both plural & singular so its not entirely ludicrous

it’s possible. Surely the restaurant won’t charge unborn children of those preggers. You can argue the food aren’t being shared the same way
