I know one English guy who still sees himself as one who was thrown out of France (well Belgium but before Belgium was created) as part of the removal of Protestants by the King at the time. Huguenot?

Naah, not funny. Stupid joke (highly public, ad hominem attack against an innocent woman with a medical condition), and a stupid response from Smith (would have been more dignified just to have walked out). Nobody comes out of it with any credit. If he'd ragged them for the scientology beliefs I would have been all for it... EDIT: Assuming it wasn't staged.

Still funny though (the incident, not the joke): that most superficial of events - The Oscars - being 'spoilt' by two actors having a punch up on live TV accompanied by unedited use of the F word. Definitely funny, regardless of the joke being in undeniable poor taste.

I preferred Rock's 2016 gag when Jada refused to attend the Oscars:
"Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited."

Who sees a woman in the audience with a shaved head and thinks "ideal target for a joke"? I mean, seriously...? Surely the first thought if you didn't know about it beforehand would be chemo, rather than alopecia, but definitely health-related...?
Is "Ha, you're ill" ever funny?
Smith shouldn't have thrown the punch, but Rock deserved it.

Personally I find people justifying it :- "oh it's Chris Rock, his comedy is always on the edge"
sorry but even on the edge their are limits and that was over the limit, I just wish Will Smith had knocked the cocky twat out

A protester throws an egg at Prescott. If JP had knocked him out cold with a single punch I would have said good on you. Unfortunately they both ended up rolling in the gutter, and he ended up looking a fool. Smith should have punched him on the chin, not given him a little wimpy slap.
Whatever happened to the good old days when comedians made people laugh by saying (or doing) something funny.

I see the Premier league are allowing teams to have 5 substitutes (whatever happened to the good old days of a twelfth man?).
How long will it be before it goes the way of American football and they have a team for defence and a different 11 if they are attacking?

I'd forgotten about Two Jags! "This famous incident, later referred to by many as the 'Rumble in Rhyl'"...

I used to work in his constituency and often spoke to his voters about why they chose him.
"mate, a monkey with a red rose in his lapel would get in here" was the gist
Do you remember when greepeace fitted solar cells to his mansion (remember he only ever worked as a purser)?
