What's interesting about this is that they're (with the exception of the Labour MP?) vehemently denying it. So somebody is clearly in the wrong. Apparently at least 2 conservatives inebiated on the same plane

Rotherham has been a political nightmare for years, NB the Star is hardly a competent paper, but note the police comment in the article
Yorkshire Cricket rightly deserves a serious kicking for not bringing itself to order.
Interesting that in todays world T20 semi-final between Pakistan and the convicts, none of the Pakistan players took a knee. A white South African player was banned from a match for refusing to take the knee, I wonder if any of the Pakistan players will receive a similar sanction? I get a horrible feeling this goes much deeper in YCCC than has come out so far,in terms of culture and the involvement of management and players, The reaction of Azeem Rafiq to the statement by Joe Root intensifies my belief. So far Azeem Rafiq has come across and has been proved to be a thoroughly decent man, the same cannot be said of those trying to cover this up it's not that many years since "Yorkshire" as place of birth was required to play for the club.

Just watching qualifying for the Brazilian grand prix, and couldn't help but think what a pampered bunch of prima donnas the drivers are. Wouldn't it be great to see the final race of the season restricted to drivers in either a Citroen HY van or a reliant robin.

22 races 22 cars, each driver drives each of the cars that way the best driver wins not the best car

I remember an interview with the Ferrari designer a few years ago when they were on top, and the question was "can you design an ultimate GP car that never crashes?" (or something like that), and he said "Easy, electric motor in each wheel and let a computer drive it" "No driver?" "Good heavens no".

They use identical cars in the lower formulas if you want to watch drivers compete more equally, F1 is meant to be about developing cars as well as a drivers' competition. I would like to see a few more teams though so that more of the young drivers from F2 could get a chance in F1.

They used to make the Indiana cars in East Anglia so that every car was exactly the same (I used to supply components), my goodness that race is boring. Since humans are such a small part of the car they barely edge past each other.
Look it is not a sport, it is like horse racing. The horse runs the jockey jumps up and down on the back.

Think it was in the Independent, but the headline read:-
"MP who told Rashford to focus on the day job has second job".

Shocking news from COP26
Large countries that use a large amount of coal are reluctant to sign up to a pledge to phase out coal use.

I just remembered back in the 70s we had dinner with some neighbours who were concerned about a black family viewing the house next to ours which was being rented, being worried about house prices. We were away most of the summer but when we got back they were talking about going to see their friend Gary who was renting next door. It was Sir Gary Sobers who was playing for the county.

"Schools in Indian capital shut indefinitely as smog worsens" Aljazeera headline today
"COP26: China and India must explain themselves, says Sharma" BBC headline on Coal support from India and China at COP26 just a few days ago
"China Suffers First Widespread Air Pollution of the Season" Caixen News from a few days back
can you see what is wrong with this picture?
