Interesting that in todays world T20 semi-final between Pakistan and the convicts, none of the Pakistan players took a knee. A white South African player was banned from a match for refusing to take the knee, I wonder if any of the Pakistan players will receive a similar sanction? I get a horrible feeling this goes much deeper in YCCC than has come out so far,in terms of culture and the involvement of management and players, The reaction of Azeem Rafiq to the statement by Joe Root intensifies my belief. So far Azeem Rafiq has come across and has been proved to be a thoroughly decent man, the same cannot be said of those trying to cover this up it's not that many years since "Yorkshire" as place of birth was required to play for the club. Or possibly not Rafiq has previous for playing the race card (when he was dropped as England U19 captain because of curfew breaches). It also appears that he has a number of historical anti-semitic posts to account for. Pot and kettle? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/59338118

A correction in this week's Economist:-
"Last week, in a chart accompanying a piece on nuclear power, we said Britain produced 235 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide per kilowatt-hour of electricity generated. That should have been 235 grams. We apologise for the rather large error".

I do hope that this weeks edition includes a letter from 'outraged of Tunbridge Wells'.

They used to make the Indiana cars in East Anglia so that every car was exactly the same (I used to supply components), my goodness that race is boring. Since humans are such a small part of the car they barely edge past each other.
Look it is not a sport, it is like horse racing. The horse runs the jockey jumps up and down on the back.
May memory may have things twisted, but wasn't it March Racing that produced the Indie cars ?

Don't you love QAnon, so much promise zero things actually happen, but all their stuff is so virtually unintelligible you wouldn't know if it came true or not. Of course that also means they can claim all sorts of amazing predictions did come true.

England beat South Africa Scotland beat Japan Wales beat Australia Just imagine if the UK put up a single national team, instead of four regional ones...

Great idea we could call them the British Lions. Rugby union is probably the only major sport it does/would work with. Cricket and football would be mainly English with token representation from the local colonies. I have a feeling I should not have mentioned Cricket........
