Initially, I found the idea of Macron losing on Sunday quite amusing (jumped up little tw*t). But then I wondered where the alternative might take us (better the devil you know?)

we could, or they could turn their nuclear back on and both countries could accelerate their wind, solar and energy storage solutions. We could behave as if there was a war... and do something fast rather than wait 3 years.

Farage and Putin. Russian hard coal imports were down to 25% from 50% before the invasion.
A stoppage of Russian gas imports is tougher for Germany, which in the first quarter received 40% of deliveries from Russia. Germany wants to cut the share of Russian gas to 24% by this summer. But it could take until the summer of 2024 for Europe's largest economy to end its reliance on Russian gas.

2024 is a crazy date, the Ukraine army will be history by then.

The pipelines need to be blown up today and then where they get fuel discussed tomorrow, not just bleed Ukrainian bodies to heat German and British homes.

Confused. That is Nordstream 2. I thought that DE had refused to certify it, and therefore currently no gas is flowing through it.
