Just seen a snipet on the news where he claimed that he opened the file by mistake. At least twice - once in the chamber, once in a select committee. But it's OK, he'll resign... IF AND WHEN an investigation finds he did it.

Just seen a snipet on the news where he claimed that he opened the file by mistake. and then watched it for several minutes Neil Parish has told the BBC he is resigning as an MP after admitting he watched pornography twice in the House of Commons. Mr Parish - the MP for Tiverton and Honiton in Devon - said it had been a "moment of madness" and "I was not proud of what I was doing".
He said the first time was accidental after looking at tractors, but the second time was deliberate.

i was about to post the same, but you got there first. Given that he represents the good rural folk of Tiverton and Honiton, I'm sure many of his constituents would not consider there to be any difference between the two.

not actually from the news, but rather reading an article about setting up google pay

However else I might have described the contactless NFC pay symbol, that is not what would have sprung to mind.

I have to admit when I saw that he had resigned I had two thoughts
1) What exactly do you have search on google with "tractor" to get porn?
2) Have we now degraded to the point where a man caught in a pretty strange act in a public place of work takes some time to resign. Using the Tebbit analogy, "just how long do you stay at the crease after you have been clean bowled?"

Apparently Parish is having a "cooling off" period which has been made easier given that he is now an extractor fan.

A while ago a friend told me about an unfortunate experience he had searching for steam trains online (he's a bit of an anorak), he clicked on 'puffing Billy' and it wasn't exactly what he expected. He didn't go back for another look!
