I wouldn’t say I was a bit paranoid but: A few weeks ago I decided to transfer an ISA from A to B. Shortly after I sent the info off, I got a call on my mobile from A who said they wished to talk to me. They then said that to verify my identity, please could I tell them the 1st, 3rd and 8th letters from the password I’d used when I set up the account. I told them I didn’t disclose that type of info over the phone, as that’s the kind of thing a scammer might ask. They then said ok, well then I should phone them. I thought they may hang on the line, so I left it 2 days, before using a different phone. turns out they were genuine & were only phoning me in the first place to check if my ISA transfer was genuine. Pretty poor that A should ask for that information. Also, couldn't you check if your line is blocked by calling someone else on it ?

great news i am over the moon, new boat on way.
Good Day,
Please do accept my apologies, I do not wish to invade into your privacy, I had written an earlier email to you but without response ,in my first email I mentioned to you about my late client ,since his death I have received several latter from his bank where he made a deposit of $5.4million before his death ,the bank has asked me to provide his next of kin or any of his relatives who can make claim to his funds or it will be confiscated by the bank as I could not locate any of his relative hence i contacted you for this claim.
Please your urgent response and co-operation will be highly appreciated and for more details of this transaction.
Thanks Yours faithfully, Barrister John Michael.
I am feeling a bit bored , going to rain again , let the fun begin. Ps why would the bank send him several latters?.

They know he likes his early meaning Costa

Yesterday I glanced in my spam folder and discovered some 15 emails spread over a fortnight from the same person (address ending in bedojedid.com) offering all the common scams - including antivirus out of date, parcel delivery requires payment, fortune from bitcoin and so on. Googling suggests he/she has been at it all year and may be Russian.
Update edit: so far today, seven more scam emails from the same person - all landing in my spam folder. I would have thought that by now even the most gullible person would have realised there was something suspicious about so many eclectic emails from the same person.

IPS (Looking like UPS) saying they need to redeliver and to click to confirm address (or track item), checked it out and it seems to be a known scam. Sometimes they ask for tax payments as well, maybe that would be the next step, but I'm not clicking on any of the links to find out. Fortunately I'm not expecting anything so was immediately suspicious.

I blocked this person but have just checked my spam box and there are dozens of emails, sometimes five or six a day, from a variation of the address I blocked.
