3 years of stability? Is that the best you can expect from coalition government? TBF, it's better than we're doing nationally, with a large majority. I guess that's a fair comment. But when you look at SNP first ministers:
- Alex Salmond was embroiled in claims of inappropriate sexual behaviour
- Nicola Sturgeon was embroiled in claims of inappropriate financial behaviour
- John Swinney and Humza Yousaf were short term apparitions, who were soon found out to be incompetent (and Swinney is in the running to get the job again)

Nothing wrong with a few manly tears! Lots wrong with his leadership though so happy to see the back of him.

So it looks like the battle is between a Nicola Sturgeon ally (John Swinney) and an anti-gay marriage, devout Christian (Kate Forbes).
On a side note, when an SNP member was asked 'what's your big message' his response was 'Vote for us and we'll try not to f*** things up so badly next time'

3.5M to upgrade a 275k building with new windows, insulation and a new heating system. So what have they learnt and what was it supposed to prove about going carbon zero ?
This shocking piece of political incompetence or hubris or extravagance was mentioned in Proplend's monthly update. SNP need to keep this buried until the election.

"If we were independent this wouldn't happen, the UK government is to blame."
“I’m writing to ask Humza if he’ll apply the brakes on this lunatic scheme" - probably a bit late mate.
Meanwhile, it looks like Nicola Sturgeon's former right hand man will be appointed unopposed as FM. So more of the same old thing.

No, no , I have no evidence apart from info on this forum but spending £3.5 m on upgrading the environmental performance of a building worth £250000 must be a winner over the ferry boat farce. Let's not look at the carbon cost of the upgrade to carbon return period of that used to do the work, taking into account of the life expectancy of the building. God please let the Scottish go free and independant and make the Welsh and English so much better off. Let's please have a English and Welsh referendum to divorce the buggers and run away. Having had a interesting conversation with a Scotts nationalist holiday maker who thought that the scots should use the the pound, because there is no chance they would fulfill the rules to enter the Euro . With a seat on the bank of England with a veto on all UK interest and financial decisions as a joint user. Who thought all the EU would welcome another loss making member who would encourage minority ethnic groups to independence within their borders. That the present financial support grants from the UK to the Scots should continue based on the present financial package for ever in compensation for our theft of Scottish energy resourses. Sorry good by and good riddance if that's it, had enough, build a hard border and move on. Sorry another rant over.

Are those ferries still not ready Is that the 2 ferries where:
- The construction contract was awarded to Ferguson Marine, run by independence supporting tycoon Jim McColl.
- Ferguson Marine went bust part way through construction, leaving the taxpayer north of the border to pick up the bill
- The ferries are estimated to cost 4 times the original £97m budget
- In March this year it was estimated it would cost £293 to complete the vessels
- 5 years after the original completion date neither ferry has carried a single passenger.
- In 2017, the Glen Sannox was “launched” at a ceremony attended by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. It since emerged it was far from finished with the windows on the bridge painted on for the event and the funnels were "temporarily fixed" to make the vessel appear more complete.
And these people think they can run a country
Glen Sannox finally handed over and expected to carry passengers from January (about 7 years late).
The handover comes seven years to the day since the ship was famously launched by former first minister Nicola Sturgeon with painted-on windows and plywood funnels.
