Just had an Email from EVRI timed at 11:17
saying that I will be receiving a parcel today between 8:00 and 20:00, as Hermes they used to give a 2 hour slot now it's 12.
So I guess about 25% of the people receiving the email will already have had the parcel delivered
Customer service Pah, who needs customers

Having waited for a parcel through the two hour delivery slot I got an email saying your parcel has been delayed and will now be delivered tomorrow, ten minutes after the email arrived, the parcel arrived.

But this innovation of a longer delivery slot has improved customer experience, the stats prove it. In the past a smaller percentage of customers received their parcel on time , now due to this it's far higher. A genius move by management, bonuses and promotion all round!. Next year stats will improve again , delivery slot will be moved to this week sometime.😉

Useless? IMHo, they are no in the useless category.
According to their app, my 14 parcels delivered successfully without fail, just two have been delayed.
I thought Useless Parcel Service is worse for premium delivery service. Their Useless guys will just wait in the vans and pretend the doors of the occupied property has been knocked and nobody answers the door.

On Friday DHL gave me a one-hour slot for the delivery of a very small parcel, advising that my signature would required, otherwise the parcel would be taken back to the depot.
The hour came and went, and a little later the DHL tracking system advised that "We're sorry but we haven't been able to locate the delivery address from the information provided by the sender". My address looked OK on the sender's acknowledgement. It turned out that it gave my house number as "One", rather than "1". I'm unsure as to whether an automaton or a human was confused.
When the packet was delivered to me, no signature was needed.

My experience with Evri has so far been very good, mostly due to the conscientiousness of my local driver. More than once I've had parcels sent to me that had split open in transit due to ineffective parcel tape (sender's fault), and she took great care to ensure none of the small contents were lost.

I mentioned a while back I've been clearing out the garage and selling stuff on ebay. Each time I use Evri I get nervous but they are very cheap. Fingers crossed so far theyve been ok.

Over the last 5 years, I've sold 150 parts from a car and the same again probably of misc stuff using hermes as courier without a single issue. I don't know anything about evri but no issues so far.

£2,90 up to 1kg. Dont get much for that nowadays. I believe the "life style courier" gets 60 p a delivery.

and the reason they have decent trustpilot ratings is they take down an awful lot of negatives Can a company engineer that? Surely that would eradicate any remaining trust in Trustpilot and they'd have to rebrand as simply Pilot? When a popular high street electrical retailer started going badly downhill a couple of years ago, their Trustpilot rating hit the deck, with a continuous string of one star reviews about their service. To stop the rot, a string of five star reviews suddenly started to flood in. To suggest they were in any way suspicious could invite litigation, so the reader must decide for themselves whether hundreds of comments of this nature are genuine: "Lots of choice, with excellent credit terms, helpful staff in a warm friendly environment" and "A highly recommended shopping experience. Give them a try". Sufficient of this cringeworthy mush was posted as five star reviews that their overall rating was dragged right back up to an average level, where they sit today. Even today, the shocking one star reviews continue in great number, with some rather questionable five star comments to maintain the balance.

yes, I've had HERMES reviews taken down where everything I wrote I could back up with physical evidence, I posted a picture of the box and you could see water dripping and the boot marks on it. trustpilot said I was not a confirmed customer and the review was "faked" I even offered to let trust pilot access my HERMES account so they could see the discussion between me and HERMES on this issue and they still took the review down,

Snail mail keeps letting me down recently. The 48 hours service is getting worse, either less tracking and moving slower compared than years ago.
Meanwhile, participating Post Offices offer DPD / Evri from counters.
