Might start a new thread for this coz I'd really like to know the answer. I did a stupid thing and bought the wrong size of something. Then I bought the right size and contacted them to get a refund for the "wrong" one. No reply. Went to Paypal and was asking me for tracking numbers so I sent the wrong one back and provided tracking. However, I don't think Paypal are going to refund as the item is not faulty. Its only about £18 but its annoying me that the company doesn't reply to me and seemingly won't refund me (they have the original back now). Is court the only option? If you purchased via Ebay you will get a refund. PayPal are quite responsive via Customer services. especially if they see you don't make a habit of getting refunds

I use my paypal account much more that cc where PayPal is taken. I just feel it's more secure than quoting a cc number online or over the phone. Only ever( famous lady words)had one issue and that's where ebay fees were fraudulently taken. Got money back in 2 days from PayPal. Mr musk certainly did some things right! I like Pay in 3, but it doesn't take credit card.

Stupid me though I was generally protected by Paypal (which I am) but not for buying the wrong thing. ANnoying thing is unlike many products, this one was returned in 100% exactly the condition including all packaging etc so totally resaleable.

It's funny how Musk's name seems to be so tightly bound there... Musk and three others founded X.com as an online bank (with cheque accounts etc) in March 1999. In March 2000, it merged with a slightly older competitor, Confinity, who had an online payments product called "Paypal" - and Musk became CEO - but was sacked in September 2000, and all the other products were ditched. In June 2001, the company name was changed to that of the product. That company was then bought by eBay in October 2002... If Paypal is any one person's idea, it's Max Levchin. (Who?) See also: Musk didn't start Tesla, he was simply an early investor.

Musk's company merged with another company before it changed its name to Paypal. He got booted out because he wanted to call it X.com. He's a POS who finally got his way by corrupting and destroying a platform for good. He verifiably manipulates platform data for his own propaganda and agenda and the EU, US and UK have done nothing about it so far. Every day I repost and like posts about him and the next day (actually within an hour) they have been removed. POS.

Seems folks either love or hate him. His advertisers on x.com are prob the latter.

"hello, I bought this camera from you in September, I've completed the film photography module of my course, so I was wondering if I can return it for a full refund please as I no longer need it"
Eff Eff Ess, so you buy it use it for 3 months or whatever and now cos you don't need it you want me to give you a full refund,
I've politely declined to give a refund

Running my own digital store I often see requests like these come though & they do somewhat infuriate me. I feel like buyers are more likely to ask silly questions like these to independant sellers instead of say Tescos, where they know the response will be null instantly. Or maybe I'm wrong, I'm sure somebody on this board has plenty of customer facing stories... I like to call these customers the *banking customers* because they seem to think your business is a bank, they can deposit with you money, then withdraw it later on from you!

I don’t mind those “quiet” sellers not putting actual pictures nor descriptions for brand new unopened items. It is a “steal” to get item cheap instead of buying from a reputable retailer.
They are great, but I don’t usually give them feedback as they like to be “quiet” on ebay.

PMSL
email this morning
"as you and EBAY have both refused to refund me, I want to leave you negative feedback, however it's more than 90 days and I can't find the item to leave feedback, can you tell me how to do it"
So let's get this right she's had the camera and used it for > 3 months, she wants a refund, I've said no, eBay have said no, and now she wants ME to tell her how she can leave negative feedback for ME
I wrote a blistering response ( which was quite cathartic ), then i had second thoughts and deleted it and wrote a much shorter and politer version that basically said "sorry but you are out of time and I can no longer assist you"
I feel had I sent the first one I wrote eBay might have suspended me for the tone and content.

Bought something a few days ago, it was dispatched, but now seems to have been sent to the other end of the country according to tracking, 'at my delivery depot about 500 miles away'! I don't necessarily think the sellers fault, waiting to see what happens.

i thought the bay has a policy of 60 days to leave feedback. how is it possibly to leave one after 90 days?

i thought the bay has a policy of 60 days to leave feedback. how is it possibly to leave one after 90 days? It isn't. That's what the buyer wants Keith to help with. Surely the easy answer here is to offer to buy the camera back, at a suitably reduced price to allow it to be profitably resold?
