What to do if you're incapable of work ? Be thankful for whatever free handouts that the state gives you?

But a life on benefits shouldn't be an option...I look at the guy that lives opposite me and think the system is stupid. about 4 years ago he fell and messed up his hip, he's in constant pain and struggles to walk. as a result he's getting benefits a couple of years ago he was saying that he's be grateful when last year came around as he would hit 40 and the NHS would do his hip ( apparently they last 15 years ) Last year I was talking to him and mentioned his hip and he said the Welsh NHS have put it off for 5 years that way he will get replacements at 45, 60, 75 rather than 40, 55, 70 and possibly another at 85. so he has 4 more years on benefits before they will do his hip, blimey talk about left hand right hand, yes it may save the NHS some cash but in the meantime he is claiming when he could be working. oh and he was told at a recent GP appointment that if he was involved in an accident his hip would be replaced as an emergency What to do if you're incapable of work ? IMHO very few are totally incapable of working. Bad back and can't lift - get an office job ( It used to amuse me that the Fire brigade would retire staff on ill health grounds who would then carry on with the painting decorating etc, could they not retrain to work in control room of to fit smoke alarms etc) ditto the police service. A very large percentage of people long term sick have anxiety, depression etc. I suffer from depression, I take my medication and I get on with my life, i get anxious at this time of year as I suffer very badly from anaphalaxis if stung and wasps tend to sting more now, but again I don't let it rule my life, I've had a bad back since a fall 50 years ago I find it impossible to reach forward anywhere near my toes ( like about 6 inches short ) sitting still or standing for any length of time are both painful, I put up with it and do the best I can.

I don't doubt there are many that abuse the system. What about if you have Schizophrenia, you take your meds but still you see all sorts of bad sh1t flying around you and telling you what to do? What if you can't speak, understand anything are totally inconvenient (adult nappies) and have epilepsy to boot? These are just two examples I know of. I'm sure there are loads more. So, should they be sentenced to a life of poverty and/or homelessness - its just the luck of the draw right ?

Swathes of people become anxious as autumn/winter approaches . Its the reaction to the change in light . Quite primal really ....you are being urged to get ready for winter. The recent full moon has a great big on effect on bodies as well ,mostly females but can affect men too. (Excuse me while I go and remove my Wolf Suit). But ,seriously, its a well documented condition .
What the hell does this have to do with the Portland Barge ?
