This is the first one where I have received an app notification. Previously I'd been relying on Twitter letting me know. Me too but even the notification was only an hour or two before.

I think it says they don't send out emails for short notice events There was an email yesterday. First one received since 19th December. Sent at 12:38

There was an email yesterday. First one received since 19th December. Sent at 12:38 I wonder what it is that makes them target some with emails/app notifications and not others. AIUI they make a cut out of the savings so it is in their interest to have as many participants as possible.

I think and I don't have an exact figure but around 600,000 people opted in yesterday, and for anyone that hasn't seen it there's an extra 400 points again for the top 20% .
to be honest I'd rather see that go to the bottom 20% as looking at the streamlit league table you have people making £40 plus per session, and in some cases I guess gaming the system by force charging EV's at peak times.

with a couple of the TOU tariffs for car charging you say when you need the car by and it gives cheap slots ie sub 10p so they get cheap anyway, at least one of the connectors has caught on and is now not giving slots before 8pm if you plug in at 4, ( my understanding is they were plugging in at 5 and saying need it fill by 8:30 forcing slots )

So that had the effect of raising their typical usage at the time these slots are made available for energy saving sessions and thus they made greater savings because of this by then not charging their car. Got it. I didn't actually realise that any of these cheap car charging tariffs gave you a choice in when you used them. I assumed they were all overnight (like economy 7)

they are meant to be overnight and Octopus are clamping down on abuse.

More stuff in the shop including a free greggs regular drink every week and £7.50 ( 6000 points ) national trust day out for 2,also 2 for £10 on odeon tickets but I get that anyway cos I'm over 60

add me to the list next time please: I seem to not be getting their emails nor WA updates. :-) I have taken to just opening the app on my phone on the walk back from my daily gym and swim which is just after 1,15 so usually know if there is one. However keitha notification is a useful back up. I guess a cut and paste list would work? from whoever sees it first. Rewards are a tadge stingy this time, hopefully not a sign of things to come.
