Woohoo 69p for me from the latest saving session. Better than a smack in the face. It's the equivalent of a days free electric for me, just for having my tea a bit earlier.

I got 4 days worth
I should add that was because I exported some of what was stored in my battery, with the new battery control cable due anytime now I should be able to export more.
however a quick calculation says :-
If all 12 sessions last 1 hour and I export the same every time and they all pay the same the 12 sessions will pay just under 25% of my 1 November to 31 March electricity usage. If I can export 50% more in the remaining sessions then that will be 35% of my winter usage.
deliberately using usage rather than bill as from the middle of February I start to get meaningful amounts of solar production, March is often 150% of my use but is less reliable.

We moved to the cephalopods recently (if anybody wants a referral code...). I'm in a waiting list for an appointment to see if we can maybe have a smart meter. No mobile signal, so I suspect unlikely to be possible. We've also got a currently-empty rental property in the city - that's also with them, and we're waiting for a smart meter appointment there, too... Gawd knows what the score will be there - the meters for all flats are in a utility cupboard that's locked with only the management company having access... You'd think that'd be prime remote-display territory, wouldn't you? Hope you get both your properties smarted up soon. Nice to see good old-fashioned capitalism alive and well, too. I have a friend who now owns additional properties, courtesy of marrying a wealthy woman. He was a real leftie, anti-capitalist type, constantly bemoaning the plight of the less well-off.... yet somehow isn't shy of lining his pockets at their expense now. Kudos to anyone like yourself obviously preparing their second property for an asylum seeker and family to stay rent-free though... Well, I'm sure you'd expect nothing less from a parish councillor. Always nice to see folk in public life practice what they preach.

And I'm signed up for notifications on the app. But then I only saved enough to get £0.05 of octopoints in the last session

That's enough to buy 32ml of petrol, another 250m driving distance perhaps

Just an idle thought... and no offence intended. I suppose the logic is that you are returning energy to the grid at a time there is maximum need of it, so fair enough.

yes because suppliers bid to reduce usage. so customers on octopus being paid £4 are more likely to make an effort (IMHO) than customers of eon being paid £1
and yes it's exactly the same as last year they pay more than cost to cut usage, I believe it is an incentive that for example should I export 3kWh tonight i will earn £12 paying me is greener than paying a coal powered station to warm up. the alternative if people won't cut usage at times when the grid is under pressure is load shedding ie power cuts this would be based om published lists and dependant on the code on your bill, I'm T so would lose power Thursday 3 hours, Friday 6 hours, Saturday 6 hours, Sunday 3 hours this would be the stick. that's level, 1 level 2 is twice as many
Currently battery is running the house and pushing 2.4kWh to the grid, £14.50 as near as makes no difference over the hour and a half.
Considering I purchased my additional 3.5kW battery a month ago, it cost me £1027 delivered a few sessions at £14 plus will make a hole in the amount I need to make to turn a profit ( it was bought to be green not make money, but everything helps ) if the DFS system only has 12 sessions and the rest are all 1 hour tests at £2 or so I will make £50 on them so £70 in total ie about what the new battery costs per year ( on a 15 year life )
Because my existing battery is small then exporting 2-3kWh would practically flatten the battery, and I would end up buying at 27P rather than 16.5P also the additional battery will allow me to store more during the day in spring and autumn to export at peak with the 11P boost, I accept that it's only 35p or so per day but if it applies for 90 days that's £30 a year,
