So now there's a secret recording come to light involving that upstanding stalwart of the Church of England Paula Vennells which proves that she did know that the Horizon system could be changed by Fujitsu, without the knowledge or consent of sub-postmasters, at the same time that they were being prosecuted for fraud. The hypocrisy of this woman astounds me. I've seen her described as a "devout Christian". If that's what being a devout Christian enables you to do, persecuting innocent people when you know the charges are trumped up and just plain wrong, while squaring that with your "Christian" conscience, then no wonder few take religion seriously these days. How she could square being a Christian with destroying people's lives and livelihoods with her so called faith is beyond me. It' s just unbelievable. And now they're all so sorry, her and the Post Office, for all the pain and misery they've caused. The hypocrisy of it all just makes you sick.

Yes, it is a Government/Quasi-Government absolute rule to constantly deny any and all complete, utter and total failures. Especially and particularly those failures that are provably complete, utter and total. And then quietly sweep them under the carpet.  as I've posted before it's still in use and full of bugs, My local PO has a payment terminal that displays remove card all the time, asking yesterday, so far software reinstalled, terminal and cables replaced and the PC itself swapped out, yet the error persists, even when different staff members logon.

Paula Vennells is going to get crucified when she appears in front of the inquiry. Some time in May? But first she's going to have run the gauntlet of the media waiting for her outside the hearing. Mr Bates had to find his way through quite a scrum. She may have surrendered her gong, but I think she's clung onto the bonuses she no doubt enjoyed.

Some time in May? 22-24 May according to timetable on inquiry website. or they (P.0.) will discover a stack of emails the night before that they need to disclose. I'm beginning to agree now that those responsible including Paula Vennels and possibly even the likes of Ed Davey need to be held to account. certainly the KC's who doctored evidence need to be looked at for perjury, and their behaviour as upholders of the law, Post Office investigators for their clear bullying, it appears there was no investigation in many cases just "you did it cough up, or go to jail" Post office management who knew Horizon could be altered but kept that from courts, it goes on. Oh and the IT guy ( Gareth Jenkins ) who is refusing to testify unless given immunity from prosecution ( err doesn't that mean he will say stuff that proves he was complicit in perjury etc ) should be told turn upon this date and if you don't you will be held in contempt and locked up until you do give evidence.
