I think England have always been the worst top team after taking the lead, they are clueless. They've been in front in most of the big games that they have lost over the decades.
One thing is for certain Gareth Southgate will win nothing like when he was playing. He's a good guy though.
I think England have a history of producing players who;
- Look world class when playing in domestic competitions, and
- Look domestic class when playing in world competitions.
Lucky to get away with a draw.
They may be talented but looked like they had never met each other before.

Well, even with the draw, bookies hasn't changed the odds much for England to lift the cup. Probably already too much money placed on England already.

What I find completely incomprehensible is that we arrive at the second most important competition and we are still "experimenting" with the line up, particularly in midfield. What in God's name are the endless qualifying games and friendlies for? Grr.................

Notice the commentators slating Trent Alexander-Arnold, they need to look at the stats in terms of passes etc Englands best player on the pitch, even though he was taken off after 54 minutes. As a Manchester United fan I should be slating him, but he's doing his best to perform the role he has been asked to do
I does however seem strange that we have good midfield players yet despite no injuries we play a defender in midfield.

No coincidence that VAR came back with a vengeance last night in the France, Netherlands game. It took absolutely ages, nobody in the crowd had a clue as to what was going on, and ultimately a farcical decision was arrived at. And yes it was all handled by the English refereeing team

Is that the dullest group in football, globally, in history?

Not that it will make much difference but did England pay for the knockout stage draw ?
No Spain, Germany, France or Portugal till the final... nice. And Italy are even happier.

Is that the dullest group in football, globally, in history? +1. Who'd have thought England could possibly win the group having scored just two goals throughout Five draws out of the six matches in the group and those six matches produced fewer goals (7) than Germany (8) alone in their three matches. Pickford's doing well though, on the odd occasion he's been tested.

Mr Southgate, whatever it is you're doing, or not doing, it's NOT working.

And Georgia take the lead against Spain (Spanish defender used his groin to deflect the ball into his own net)

What the hell was that ? Didn't watch it but I knew it was going to be bad beforehand, its a squad pretending to be a team.
The Ronaldo or Messi effect can take a team a long way, win things and make an average team look like world beaters but I'm not sure either Jude Bellingham or England are good enough for that scenario.
Slovakia missing an open goal handed to them on a plate was the turning point well apart from the other turning point.
