I have a friend of evident Asian heritage whose parents (from Mauritius and Gibraltar) came to this country legally. She is very critical of today's illegal immigrants and says that she could almost have joined the right-wing rioters - though what they would have made of that, I don't know!
The idea you have to be a right wing nutter with a tattoo of the confederate flag to want a controlled immigration policy in the UK is very far from the truth. The reality is the UK has limited resources as has a serious problem of poverty. The mindless Tommy Robinson wanna be Morons who are involved in these riots are only helping the forces who want to see the UK deracinated.

The UK has a problem with poverty not because it is a poor country, but because low taxes on the rich have allowed gross inequality to develop. The services that should have been funded by the missing taxes are disproportionately used by the less well off to get on in life, in health, education, public transport, basic benefits and income support. The governments and right wing media supporters that created this situation reap the benefits by blaming the poverty they caused on immigrants. Its a viscous circle. They love it and Tommy Robinson is a tool of these interests.

A Labour councilor has had the whip withdrawn after making some kind of stupid speech at one of the demonstrations. I'm unclear as to who he was supporting / protesting against (but imagine he was an anti-racist "counter protester").

That was not stupid, it was well beyond a poor choice of words They are disgusting Nazi fascists and we need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all.that is at the very least incitement to murder and given how high tensions are running someone could take this statement from an MP as being acceptable or even encouraging them to do so, lets not forget people like Jo Cox and Nigel Jones

One could argue that calling for the killing of people with different views to your own is in itself fascist, in that it would be the ultimate suppression of opposition

Meanwhile, Tommy Robinson has been 'sacked' by his British Muslim tax advisor after she accused him of instigating far-right race riots across the UK. ...and is asking his followers for the number of any good libel lawyers...
