What's on the aftermarket?

If you have a list -- mental or otherwise -- of loans that, if they were to appear on the AM, you'd either ignore or would like to acquire parts of, then you'd recognise the names even with all the stars. 

But if you wanted to pick up any loan parts, you'd have to go via the AC website, and the recently revised 'Investments' page clearly shows the loans with parts available at the bottom of the page.  So you just go there and view the unobfuscated names and decide whether you're interested or not.

I expect it was visible only because the AI feature is so new that not a lot of lenders have been through the long list of loans and set up AI on each one.  Once more lenders set up AI, all loan parts to be sold on the AM -- except those where underwriters are still selling parts -- will be transferred via AI almost instantly.

As a result, I expect this thread has reached the end of its useful life.  R.I.P.

I don't think it will be only smaller loans that won't be purchasable manually.  I think it will be any loan that doesn't have significant underwriter funds looking for an exit.

I think you'll get bored waiting for some activity -- if not immediately then shortly, as more people set up their AI instructions.

I expect the net result will be similar to Zopa's Rapid Return system.  There are far more lenders set up to acquire AM loan parts than there are loan parts being offered up, so picking up a RR'd loan part is a relatively rare occurrence. 

I expect the same will happen here.  AI will be good for any lender wanting to sell, as any parts will be transferred in a flash -- with the exception of loans that have significant underwriter funds looking for an exit.  Lenders wanting to diversify their portfolio by picking up loan parts in the AM, will find very few parts coming their way.

But I'll be the first to admit that this is pure speculation on my part.  I'm prepared to be proven wrong.  In fact, I'd welcome that!
