Take another breath. "Top Tier Law Twisters" still haven't decided to pay their first payment (31 days late now) and the second is due today. FC have been on to it and will throw the book at them today - they say. These people did mention in their "pitch" that they were reorganising their banking - but I bet they didn't say they hadn't actually got any money to fulfil ANY of their repayment schedule, not even the £65,000 they've just had from FC!!! Got to be fraud if they don't pay up very soon.

Quite right, Grumps.... (oh! that's me! Hi!) Still looking at Top Tier Law so called A risk (4325) , first payment 33 days late, second payment now three days late - FC said on 13 Feb the recoveries process would be escalated on Monday 17 Feb - since then... nothing! Solicitors! Since late last year FC's loan listings very suddenly increased from 20-40 at a time to 80-100 at a time. Does such an abrupt change mean loans refused by another entity are being passed on to FC? Mmmm! edit:The borrower assures us he will pay by next Tuesday......oh, well that's all right then...Crappy Scrappy says he'll pay next week ... thrills all round

I have a largish sum with a borrower who is now nearly two months late, but FC have been talking sternly to him. It is going to be all right because the reason the payments have not been made is that some naughty customer has not yet paid him. He is expecting to receive that last week and we will be paid this week, said FC. So tomorrow it will all be paid up and a few loan parts will join the other 6,000 unsold parts at par or a discount. I am thinking of embellishing my avatar with a fine pair of wings.

Dixon of Dock Green Sternly ? Or Miss Whiplash sternly ? We have a right to know

They have spoken with the borrower again to ensure that they are fully aware of their obligations. Now the poor borrower does not know whether he is singular or plural, and will just have to pay up tomorrow.

Ex FC lender but I always read this forum. One of the reasons why the required FCA PI insurance is so expensive is due mainly to solicitors making off with other folks dosh. So any investment where solicitors and or their associates are involved I avoid like the plague irrespective is to what credit rating is given to them.

Has anyone here actually come across an honest or competent solicitor? In almost a lifetime, I never have.

Sorry - false alarm. the S the <removed> liar* still has no intention of paying.
We have been ch*****g the b******r and the guaran**r for payment, and have been referred to their third party b*****ss adviser who is currently reviewing the financial p******n of both. We u****stand that an inf****l arrangement will be proposed whereby all creditors are paid in full, over time. We d* n*t h*ve further d*t**ls at this stage, but we will update you ..... (hopefully next week).
"inf****l arrangement will be proposed"
In other words he refuses to pay the existing formal arrangement (the FC loan) and won't even talk to FC, leaving that to his "business advisor" to deal with. Do we have a South Wales member who can check whether he is still trading?
* he said he'd paid the second payment when he hadn't.

Does he not have a suspended sentence hanging over him? Did he declare the conviction when applying for the loan? If he did declare it then FC should be liable for any loss. If he did not then it is time for FC to start using the F word and to make some serious threats. Someone who holds this loan should ask FC simply and formally whether they knew of the borrower's criminal conviction for handling stolen property though his scrap business on the day that the loan was drawn down.
