I had a look at this morning’s E rated offer (15321) that was published at 1058hrs. The loan was for £15,800 and filled in less than 4 minutes (whilst I was researching a purchase on today’s mauled stock market). Only 15 people/bots bid on the loan, ranging from 3 * £40 to the maximum of £5000. That sum was bid in £20 tranches over two minutes and at a rate of at least 224/minute.
Having checked the names, I don’t think any of the contributors to this board managed to grab anything!
Unless you know otherwise…

Edited to add the loan number!

Typical you wait all day for an E; have a poo and you miss it! Saw it at 3% full, logged in and it was closed

224 bids per minute is my calculation; it could have been faster.
That rate is roughly 4 bids per second. I don't think that my internet connection at 12Mb/s download, 2Mb/s upload and a ping of 70ms will allow me to play at that rate - even if I could afford it!

Actually it will, if you just pipeline the HTML bid requests, and don't mess about waiting for a response from the server (although some percentage of your bids will not get acknowledged properly, so you will be bidding blind unless you stop to look, which takes a good few (3-4) seconds). Whether you should, or not, assuming you know how to, is left as a question for the viewers. 8>.

How do you "pipeline the HTML bid requests" - is there a browser setting/extension that a lay person can use? I'm fairly technically retarded although I've just found the merits of running scripts on autohotkey to help alleviate the amount of clicking on the FC website!

Not that I know of, no, although someone may know better (Chrome may be more twiddlable than FFox or IE?).
Basically you keep sending the 'bid £x at y% on loan Z' request as fast as you can, which typically needs a bot or a script, or some other programmed method to do what your browser does when you fill in the drop downs and push 'buy', but without waiting for any of the normal replies to come back. You capture/can what was being sent, and then you just keep sending 'machine-gun fashion' until something bad happens (you run out of cash, the auction closes, FC pulls the plug on you, whatever).
Personally I can't hit more than a couple a second manually, but nor can I see why I'd want to .. if I want to but a loan in a big rush, 10x£100 parts would normally be more than enough. On Es, at the moment, in most cases, 1x£20 is plenty, or more than plenty. 8>.

Well the latest E loan lasted all of a minute, but l see Goldservice bagged a few parts. He's like a bloodhound with these E loans, has he got a mate who works in FC that gives him the tip off when one is about to turn up.

He is indeed the Member with the Midas Touch I spotted the last couple of E's while they were still open but they had filled before I got any bids in.

By just keeping return or the spacebar down over the bid can get up to 4-5 bids per second, but it would be awesome to click one and fire 100 bids down the line!

Hmm 15367 only lasted 2 minutes today. No sign of our favourite goldmember and even Baz nearly missed the boat

Timmy, that really is nasty.
Ok, now that E has had a chance to settle down, how do you make money at it?
