It's a constant annoyance in this house that FC pages frequently launch with some kind of Javascript failure, so the column sort you want is dead, or the drop down menus to post a bid do not work, and the page has to be refreshed to try again. It's been a problem on this site for years now. True!! Time and time again I have to refresh to make the bid button work. Yesterday on one occasion it took five attempts to activate my bids just before an auction end. Each attempt took 5-20 seconds. Very unreliable.

The drop box still sometimes works if you go to the extreme left hand edge. But it's only the width of the grey line, so I prefer to refresh - unless there's only 10 seconds to go and I'm starting grind teeth. Another trick that's worked in the past is simply scroll the page down a bit, but that's stopped working now.

It's been a problem on this site for years now. In which case, this bug must be due a "We are working hard to ignore this bug. Cheers FC!" comment. Yes it's a long standing one, and the only way I've found round it is to make sure the dropdown and bid button work (hovering over and making sure the pointer changes appropriately) BEFORE getting to that 10-seconds-to-go moment ... and finding the button doesn't click.

Whole new spin on WACTCTB: We are continuing to chase the bug.

Going back to the title of this thread- it seems to have got completely bu.....ed.
My list of 'processing' is nearly as long as my list of 'bad debts'!

Explanation can be found on their site under 'help', 'announcements', which is nearly as well publicised as Doug Adams famous planning notice in Hhgttg.

There won't be many banking errors this morning, the site is like wading through treacle. Nothing responds in a single digit second measurable time, half loaded pages, the word "Avatar" where company pictures should be, no indication of which loans you already have a bid in.
And of course this must be business as usual as there is nothing on the site to say "We are having problems ... AGAIN".
What have they done to it today?

It has just taken me nearly 10 minutes to sign in to the site and after that a further 5 minutes to get to my Watched list. Not much point in trying to bid as it would probably take an hour or two to register. How can FC continue in business much longer with this level of service?
Then within a half hour of posting this, signed in again and it was all back to normal. Still does not give you much faith in the site!

Well it's not all back to normal round here. Only good thing is, I've got two pounds of very knobbly Jerusalem artichokes peeled while waiting for the bid button. And that's just one auction, another 36 to go. Might have to get the hoover out to pass the time.
It was fine until 8.50, then the stuck bid buttons started, then by 9.00 I was getting 502 Bad Gateway, and there wasn't even an auction ending.

Normal??? Oh yes, it's back to normal, but I was hoping for something more like "usable" ...
"Scheduled Maintenance Funding Circle UK is temporarily offline whilst we perform essential maintenance. While this work is underway, you still can visit Funding Circle USA."
I think you mean
"Unscheduled Website Crash AGAIN. Funding Circle UK is spannered. You can visit the US site but it won't do you any good as you can't log in there".
Clearly, the abacus has dropped all its beads again.
The amount of stuff stuck in "processing" is growing, yet, no processing is happening and the site is slower and slower, or 404, or Bad Gateway, or Reset By Peer.
What happened with all this new hardware which would fix this?

I'm sure I remember the hardware being a temporary stop-gap until they could address the "technical debt" (e.g. bad code/temporary fix or feature to facilitate business as usual that is still in place months or years later/rushed change to cater to marketing/rushed change to force through payments processing, etc... Caveat: I know nothing; just guessing based on experiences I'd rather not have had cleaning up other peoples messes) . I guess there may still be technical debt to address...

Also not impressed .. presumably someone will be ritually disembowelling themselves sometime soon? Perhaps they could have a joint ceremony between technical and insolvency/collections?
