FYI (local knowledge input) .. the site is now 'for sale' by Holters. I can't reveal the site name, but a hint would be that CD wouldn't be impressed .. the asking price is £1,250,000 which is just a tad more than the quoted value, so I guess the security is still pretty secure at the LTV quoted, but I do wonder why the original purchasers, having bought/stripped/demolished it are now trying to sell it on, rather than develop it and pocket the profits. Any thoughts savingstream ?

Any thoughts savingstream ? I've known about this for just over 2 weeks... A PM and some good research by annrosehorse along with PP details. All looks good TBH; one of the better sub-100 days loans on SS ATM (and one of the few I hold). Can be found quite easily on Rightmove

Currently on the market as "Offers in Region of £725,000" Been at that price for a couple of weeks now - doing the sums show that full recovery is looking unlikely Was recently on at £900k (or between £850k to £900k) And a valuation of 1.2 million. This has to stop.

Still for sale on holters and now down to £725k. My guess at auction £350-£400k , 30% of original VR.

My hometown is Bridgnorth just down the road. Definitely agree this is/was a total dog from day 1.

Small world, I'm halfway between you and Ludlow.
Personally I thought there was scope to build this into something profitable, given proximity to station, and other developments in the area, as long as there were no nasties in the survey. I was surprised when the buyer just demolished and then tried to sell it on.

I was surprised when the buyer just demolished and then tried to sell it on. Some one scooped it up cheaply and has thrown up some 'dog kennels' and is selling them off to develop the rest of the site. SS screwed up on the first valuation . The site had been blighted for years . Owned by a local councillor who was 'unable to sell' due to complications over a family trust. Handy for the station, but who in Craven Arms can afford the fares? Did you notice the Care Home Development failure on the other side of the line? Craven Arms has a lot of problems from relocated distressed families . Not an attractive prospect for buyers.
