since the latest changes I've attempted to buy parts in more than 20 loans and succeeded just once. This morning even with the recommended Chrome page monitoring extension installed, I'm having no luck whatsoever. In fact I'm now seeing loans popping up with zero availability before I even click to try and buy them. So someone/something is certainly defeating mere mortals such as me! Bit frustrating, as a long time SS investor but I guess that we'll just have to get used to waiting for the pre-funding loans to go live and pick up whatever scraps we can from there. Good job there are other sites to invest in I guess because once SS start redeeming some of the loans in which I have larger investments I can't really see any prospect of being able to recycle these funds into new loans given the current level of demand and prefunding limits...

I stayed 'til 5 or 10 past midnight. Didn't see a thing. Clicked a few times on "Available". Nothing. Just about given up now. Oh. Awake about 6 a.m. so gave it a shot then, too. Nothing. Again. Now the norm. Will have to wait for the handout. February? M <stars> 3 still being VERY lucky . Others, too. I really sympathise with you. Am using a smart phone to invest and have only had one 7p investment being available to me....Only to highlight check box to say am not a robot and boom 7p gone!!!! I give up....at any time of day!

Once one of the big loans are released there will probably be a bit of secondary activity was when last one was done even with the bots around That's what usually happens yes - but imagine if it doesn't. I'm starting to think SS has a special arrangement with some big hitters to keep them happy and on their platform. m*************3 still does seem to be being quite successful, but from what I've seen today's big winner seems to be a*****a. While I was trying to buy some small parts a little while ago, I noted that earlier today a*****a has bought £29,862 of PBL060 and £18,570 of PBL061. I've had no luck at all today, being presented with pictures to select from every time -- even on my first attempt after about 12 hours. As far as I'm concerned, the playing field isn't even remotely close to level. Until savingstream can manage to organise that, perhaps we need to have buying limits imposed. At this point I'd vote for a £100 limit. At least that way when a £500 part comes up for sale SS will have five happy customers instead of just one!

. . . Good job there are other sites to invest in ... John I understand this as other platforms that are a match to SS. Which ones are you referring to? Not that I am unhappy with SS in general, but I am looking for other platforms to diversify.

I have them (analytics and sundry other cr&p) blocked in hosts too, and I don't =always= get a puzzle, just mostly. The amount of mostly garbage that you can watch load (with the monitoring tools built into firefox, or IE) when you open a nice simple SS web page is truly worriting, 8>.

I have them (analytics and sundry other cr&p) blocked in hosts too, and I don't =always= get a puzzle, just mostly. Right, I can eliminate that then. I've tried different browsers, deleting cookies, not deleting cookies, browsing google sites before going to ss so there is a google cookie already on my machine, I always get the puzzle. The most info I have seen about it so far is at: github.com/neuroradiology/InsideReCaptcha Which indicates that it looks at all sorts of things .. a simple cookie or two would be rather trivial to fake. But yes, it does seem to err on the side of 'prove you're not a bot', rather than giving anyone the benefit of whatever doubt there might be. Personally I reckon it's just another way for the tax-avoiding-googleoids to collect advertisingly-useful information about you and your browsing habits, and to get their picture library sorted for free. 8>.

I hope they are not relying on me for sorting their pictures because I've got the answer wrong a number of times.

Someone seems to be selling a series of 1p parts at the moment. They're probably have a good laugh at the thought of grown people leaping into action at their computers/tablets/phones and frantically trying to solve captchas in order to win the 1p prizes. Really kinda funny, innit?

Have you ever seen someone glueing a 1p to the pavement and seeing people trying to pick it up?

Really kinda funny, innit? It's funnier than that. The 1p is just your 1p. The prize is the interest on 1p...
