Which means, basically, that Google are doing both the queueing (successful buy (or any attempt?).. go to the tail of the queue) and random-ish allocation (depending on whether / how hard the picture you get it) that it was suggested SS could/should do.
Not really worth fussing about though, since the biggest chunk I've seen whiz past all day was PBL058 £400.00 at 12:55, which sold out completely in <12 seconds.

I finally managed to buy £100 of a loan that I've already got enough of. I think I'm just going to leave my account as £-100.00 to see how long it'll take SS to notice. I can't be bothered to fund such a small amount.

I can't be bothered to fund such a small amount. AFAIK, you'll get a 'Please resolve negative balance' email on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. If you already have enough of that loan, just offer your new part for sale. That would resolve your negative balance in about 12 seconds!

Just a tip for people, that may or may not work…… Over the last couple of days I’ve been trying something. Yesterday I switched from my beloved chrome browser, and used (gulp…) Microsoft Edge , and found that for a short period on the SM that I didn’t get any pictures. After I did start to get the “Select all images…” I switched to Firefox, and once again stopped getting the “Select all images…”. It doesn’t last long, but gives you a chance. There have been a number of parts for sale in the past hour or so. The first few times I tried to buy (using Firefox), I didn't get the pictures, and on a couple of those occasions I was successful. Then the pictures arrived -- every time thereafter -- and I had no chance after that, with the amount available to buy reducing to zero while I was trying to click on the photos. So then I tried using Internet Explorer. It didn't help -- pictures every time. I'm wasting my time watching the Available Loans page. Actually, it's worse than that because it's very frustrating. As others have noted, it doesn't look like Google designed its service for the sort of website that savingstream have.

It should work pretty well though when a large new loan launches and people have more than 5 seconds to pick up a loan part before it disappears. If reCaptcha assumes multiple buying attempts suggests non-human then there shouldn't be an easy workaround for the bots.

Just a thought, maybe logging out and back in, and/or clearing cookies, will return google to believing you are (mostly) human??

Please don't waste time looking at the saving stream Available Loans page to refresh! Get Google Chrome and install the Distill Web Monitor Extension; after some setting up, it gives you a ‘ping’ when the web page changes, so when a new loan becomes available it alerts you. Keep the SS available loans page tab open so that you’re ready to pounce I suppose Firefox may have a similar extension; but google chrome is so much better!

Just a thought, maybe logging out and back in, and/or clearing cookies, will return google to believing you are (mostly) human?? I've tried all this with no success. I've also tried some proxies and a VPN, and they actually work ( no pictures ever) but for some reason I get error 404 after I place the investment, and the investment is not recorded with SS. At the moment, the best results I’m getting is via the Microsoft Edge Browser; if I haven’t used it for a couple of hours I (initially) don’t get no pictures. When the pictures do come back I go back to Chrome and wait a couple more hours. I’m going to keep playing around with some more proxies and my Hotspot VPN Shield, see where it gets me.

I'm not sure I need a ping, though. I'm using a large desktop monitor, so I can happily work within most of the screen, which leaves me enough room to keep a second window on the Available loans page. I don't have to watch it, because it changes when a loan part appears, and I notice the change. I can click on the loan with the part for sale quickly enough, but I'm very unlikely to be able to buy anything if I'm presented with photos to click, which seems to happen the great majority of the time. I do note that others are a lot more successful that I am. m*************3 in particular seems to get to the parts before I do most of the time. Either they're very good with the Captcha, or they manage to avoid the pictures, or they've figured out how to shortcut the process.

I stayed 'til 5 or 10 past midnight. Didn't see a thing. Clicked a few times on "Available". Nothing. Just about given up now. Oh. Awake about 6 a.m. so gave it a shot then, too. Nothing. Again. Now the norm. Will have to wait for the handout. February? M <stars> 3 still being VERY lucky . Others, too.

I stayed up till 00:15 and manage to get two more small parts of pennies. Couldn't be arsed to do a transfer for such small amount so sold it all. There's clearly still an arms race going on with respect to manual techniques and/or bots by-passing reCaptcha. I long for a better market. Once one of the big loans are released there will probably be a bit of secondary activity was when last one was done even with the bots around

I think I got lucky last night and grabbed a chunk of Huddersfield and right now when writing this I snagged a reasonably sized bit of Torquay. Both times no pics. My experience seems to be following the rule noted by others. The first couple of buy attempts in the day have no pics but they appear thereafter. Maybe it's worth waiting for something you really want before buying.
Edit: This morning I am on the work computer instead of my home one - might have helped.

All day yesterday and just after midnight I've completed 18 investments; most being less than £50, with some larger chunks here and there. I do get the PICs a lot of the time, but by rotating brewers (Chrome> MS Edge> Firefox) I am able to avoid the PICs about 50% of the time.

Wow. Just had my first success with the pictures. Mind you it probably says more about me than anything else; it asked me to point out the PIZZAS
