If you are not happy with the wording of the email, write a version you like and forward to SS you never know if your one is the best they might take it on board.
Bit like a Blue Peter competition.

Bit like a Blue Peter competition. If you look at one of my previous posts I think you will find I have done what you have suggested. Chris

I think some people may have misunderstood my post. I'm not criticising SS, I just think the email could be better worded so as not to alarm some investors. Maybe something like this: "We are reconciling payments later today. If you have not sent a payment please do so now or your loan part may be sold on the Secondary Market". Chris chrisuk if you are getting alarmed at a simple e-mail message, then....

There must be a lot of people that abuse the system. They have to tread carefully with honest folk who made a mistake or were intending to credit their account within the timeline agreed and I think they have. I would wager for everyone in control of their finances or with the right intentions, there will be 20x as many people who simply won't bother transferring the deficit across in a timely fashion, which is a pain in the neck.
When I started in business my credit control team were beyond patient basically on their hands and knees even with the clients that took the proverbial when it came to paying their invoices. After several years of dealing with the same BS and realising that customer service didn't necessarily mean kissing backsides, my credit control team are a lot more to the point and my tolerance for time wasters/stallers has diminished to almost nothing. Sure we lost a few good clients who got their knickers in a twist about the tone of my credit controllers but bad debts went down and people know where they stand. The good guys will not be offended typically by a polite but firm email, as they can empathise and appreciate that not every client/customer does as they agree to when it comes to paying/transferring money across.
The time wasters and crooks are the ones that this was addressed at, the ones that make their business difficult to run and could potentially mean the rules have to change for the good guys.
I hope SS get even firmer if I'm being honest, after all they added the caveat and I think when you see it from their point of view it is only SS trying to run their business efficiently and ensuring people who play by the rules don't end up missing out in the future.

Yes very funny CD. But don't get carried away with impersonations - remember last time.

Our business is probably 75% down the same line. You're spot on. Most people are good honest folk but there are those p*** takers who think it is their right to abuse the system because they are customers and customers are always right. No they are not.

I got one of those emails Thursday morning, and it did make me worry that the FP I made the previous afternoon might have got lost in the ether, so I wasn't a happy bunny either. Especially since in other similar situations my transfer had been credited to my account early enough in the day that it prevented the generation of the dreaded email. The disclaimer at the bottom of the email really doesn't mean much if you don't know whether or not SS have already reconciled all of the payments they received the previous day, does it? I realise that the emails are generated automatically, and the reconciliation is a manual job, so the problem occurs only if the reconciliation doesn't happen early enough. My suggestion for savingstream would be to wait until the reconciliation is complete before generating the emails. It shouldn't be that difficult to generate the emails on demand, and the last step in the reconciliation process should be to trigger the generation and sending of the emails.

I've just read through all 3 pages and I'm surprised that nobody does* as I do when I get the Email. Quick check of online banking, yes payment made, 'problem' cleared.
I run 3 accounts so there is always a chance that I have made a mistake or as I did once (another platform) I can't have hit the final 'submit' button so no payment was made ... Viewed as a simple reminder to make a check the Email doesn't cause me a problem.
*perhaps others do check?
