The charts came up fine for me on Wednesday afternoon, but disappeared completely when I did a refresh a few minutes ago. I don't see any blank place holders or any evidence that there are any charts at all. I am supposed to be looking at the OP of this thread, aren't I? I can visit jonah.890m.com/ so it isn't a case of that website being blocked by my ISP. As a temporary workaround, can you supply the URLs of the individual PNG files? With those, I should be able to view them, even if not very elegantly.

Further to the above, the charts have reappeared now.
I didn't make any change so I can't explain what happened.

If I get a chance I may have a look to find an alternative location. Anyone suggest a free hosting site, allows hotlinking and supports ftp uploads?

Further to the above, the charts have gone missing again. I refreshed the page at about 0300 GMT today and they were fine, but when I refreshed it again just now (at 1720) they were nowhere to be seen. jonah: Is it fair to presume that the PNG files are on a server somewhere? And that I could access them directly if I had the URLs? If so, can you please supply the URLs? With those, we ought to be able to tell whether the source of the problem is the P2PIF system or the server supplying the images.

I have added the URL to my OpenDNS whitelist so I should stop being blocked in a few hours. Apparently not many of your fans are using OpenDNS! Sorry to have troubled you. Thank you for finding the fault. I too was using opendns. As I don't want to go through the complication of configuring my own white lists I have changed to Google DNS at 8.8.8.8 backup 8.8.4.4 and the charts are working again.

I wonder if it's just a matter of bad timing on my part -- i.e. me happening to try to refresh at just the moment the charts are being updated. Thanks for the links. Both work now. I'll try them again the next time the charts disappear for me -- if there is one.

jonah: If things continue heading as they are on SS, we can be looking at a few £million of defaults. This might dwarf the available loans on your graphs. Is it possible to use a secondary Y axis to separate the defaults from the SM availability?

Is it possible to use a secondary Y axis to separate the defaults from the SM availability? If needed I can. Or just separate graphs. If the defaults do increase then it is also possible that the amount on the SM will also increase. Time will tell. I'll tweak if needed, but might take a day or two depending on other things happening.

Historical 2016 stats. Below is an amalgam of the data I gathered in 2016. Due to changes in the approach part way through the year, I've had to merge several data sources. That's why some of the graphs have multiple entries in they key and a few gaps in and amongst as well as different time periods. I think I have all valid data, but if anyone wants to correct me, please do so. All data is from the public websites so I assume that there are no issues with this, but if there are any concerns, please PM me or post below.
Secondary marketsAbundance ( abundance ) This data is taken from www.abundanceinvestment.com/invest/ for currently available and www.abundanceinvestment.com for the total. This will not take into account any new loans which are on offer (that is on the to do list). eMoneyUnion ( emoney ) This data is taken from the table from here: www.emoneyunion.com/lend/micro-loans/This is totaled from the Sale Price column, but rounded down to the nearest pound for each row. MoneyThing ( MoneyThing ) This data is taken from the available funding stat on this page: www.moneything.com/p2p/This figure is not entirely all available immediately though, as this figure does not take into account any '24 hour' buy limits. Please note this is a single snapshot for each time period, which was taken once an hour, just after the hour. If you are looking at a fast moving secondary market, it is possible that this snapshot could be unrepresentative of the time just before or just afterwards. It is however the value provided by the site at the time my script downloaded it.Rate graphsBondmason ( stevefindlay ) This takes data from www.bondmason.com/how-bondmason-targets-70-pa-returnThis reads in the 'average rate today' from almost the bottom of that page. Lending Works ( Matthew ) This takes data from www.lendingworks.co.uk/peer-to-peer-lendingThis page was significantly changed with the site revamp a while back. I only go around to looking to fix this earlier this month. For some reason which currently escapes me, I can't use xpath references for this page, so had to use a CSS selector. Worse, a reference for the 5 year rate seems to prefer the 3 year. If I find a way to fix this I will do so, until then, this reads the 3 year rate from the mini table on this page. Data from before the 1st of December was from the previous version of this page. Octopus Choice ( vanessaiman ) This takes data from octopuschoice.com/ This reads the rate from within the big purple circle on this page. Ratesetter (no rep to tag) This takes data from www.ratesetter.com/invest/everyday-accountOriginally I used the homepage for this, but a while ago this seemed to change to sometimes show different markets. As I found the '3 boxes' in the above before I got around to looking to parse the home page, it seemed easier to just add all 3 markets, which is what is in the above. Please note this is a single snapshot for each time period, which is taken once an hour, between quarter past the hour and half past the hour. All numbers (i.e. y axis) are in percent. Whilst most sites may change rates on a less regular basis than, say, a secondary market, this doesn't guarantee that this rate would be offered for you. It is however the value provided by the site at the time my script downloaded it.A combination of Selenium, RRDtool, imagemagick and hostinger have been used to create this. Tagging david42 as this was being discussed elsewhere. Note to self: A backup is only useful if you know you can recover from it

It occurred to me at 2 in the morning, that I was significantly behind in where I wanted to be for this year. I had a 3 activity plan for the start of this year, January was a view of 2016 (i.e. the post above), then <redacted> in February and finally <more redacted> in March. As I'm effectively 2 months behind therefore I wanted to improve a little. As I don't have time to get the next activity done, I thought I would prepare myself a little for the end of 2017. With literally 5 minutes of tweaks, a year to date for this year has been produced (the time for the historically elements was stitching data sets together, as that isn't the case hopefully moving forward, life should be a little easier). This can be converted to a static 2017 view with very little effort, so hopefully come Jan 2018, I will be able to show a much quicker turn around. Therefore with no more to do, please see the below 'year to date' views. This should update once a day and automatically adjust the horizontal scaling as required. Year to date - 20178

I think that the kludge I've put in place should cope I'm pretty much offline after this evening until the weekend, so if this breaks again, it is likely to stay broken until then.

You need to put some pennies on the meter jonah ! Pennies? Free hosting has various issues, but pennies aren't one of them! However, I can see graphs. I did have a task somewhere on the to do list to review my hosting provider. Of course as I've misplaced the list...
